Brian Culkin is in the Zone

Every message I have received from Brian over the past little while has created a curious phenomenon.  My space seems to get a little larger and a little brighter. This cat brings a quality to the court that I think you might agree improves the nature of the entire game (be sure to watch his video link in its entirety).

I have continually been inspired and enlightened through reading this blog.  I felt that my story could in some way add something and another voice to speak out against the corruption, confusion, and anti-tech that seems to permeate the current scene in Scientology.

Although I was only involved in the Cof S for 1 year, I managed to make some solid progress on both sides of the Bridge.  I was involved with the church from Jan 2009- Feb 2010.  In that time, I managed to complete all my Grades, 3 L’s, and achieve the State of Clear.  I trained up through metering as well as finishing PTS/SP, all the Basic Books, and 90% of Vol 0 before I blew.

I was at Flag for much of that time staying at the Fort Harrison hotel.  I was very dedicated and was on course or in the HGC seven days a week.  I was truly inspired by what I was studying and amazed with my powerful cognitions and sudden realizations.

Eventually, as the tireless, incessant, non stop regging became too much to bear for myself I eventually left for good.  I was targeted daily by IAS, Superpower, Ideal Orgs, etc. They knew I was young and had some financial resources so it was truly non stop.  I was routinely cornered in a room by up to 10 people.  After I completed my Patron, I was almost immediately regged for my Patron Meritorious in the same non stop manner as my Patron.

Frankly, it got ridiculous.  I had enough. I found this blog. I found some auditors like Pierre Ethier and Ken Urqhart and I left.

I am currently in the middle of my NOTS program with my good friend Ken Urqhart and I have also managed to train up to class IV since I left in Feb 2010.

I have found Independents to be some of the coolest, creative, intelligent, caring, amazing people on the earth.  Some of my closest friends in the world are the Independents I have met over the past year.  

Its truly amazing the horrible reputation the church has given the tech, LRH, and anything else associated with Scn.  Hopefully the Independents can somehow salvage it.  I would be happy to help.

I consider anyone who seeks the truth to be my friend.  I am again continuing on the spiritual journey.

    Your rapid progress on the bridge is somewhat breathtaking. But, your rapid, no nonsense departure, even more impressive.

    That’s quite the combination — yoga and basketball. But probably no more surprising than meditation, the Ls and astrology.

    Yoga = union and it appears that you are epitomizing that. No wonder Marty enjoys connecting with you — it’s really what this blog is about :)

    Braintree isn’t that far of a drive … I might drop by for one of your meditation classes :)

      Brian. Good for you. You made the right choice in a very timely manner. You can how long so many here have persevered within the church only to be futher disillusioned.
      WH, Braintree? Are you referring to Braintree Mass? Is Massachusetts a secret hotbed of Indie activity like the colonial days? I know Ken U is in Mass, albeit western Mass. Maybee there will be a New England Independence party for thos who cannot travel to Texas. Have the invitations gone out for the Texas party?

        My burning question is HOW THE HECK did he get through the MAA at Flag:) — I’m guessing since they don’t read the papers, do the internet, they thought Esalen Institute was a cooking school and astrology is something they did in the “olden days” :)

          Seriously, though, Brian, really well done on both finding the Bridge, accelerating across it and realizing that the guardian of the Tech has become corrupted.

        • Windhorse- Of course the MAA’s knew me living at Esalen and such. How could I not tell them? They just asked me lots of questions about it and I answered straight up. Haha. Yeah the Esalen cookbook is great. :)

  4. Spent several weeks with Brian last summer where we met up with Pierre Ethier and received some really great auditing and a full history of the COS. Our cases were immediately straightened out and we progressed up the bridge with great ease. Brian is truly a talented and fine spirit and cares about others. He’s a true asset to have in the world of the indies. I am proud to be his friend.

    • Karen- This is so funny. Yes- my 19 year old MAA, who has never seen a Yoga mat, was concerned I was PTS. Yet my auditor for L11 Malen Gelfan probably asked me 10 times to recommend a book for her to read about Yoga so she could start doing some light stretching. I may have even demonstrated for her a couple of very advanced poses per her request in the auditing room while we were chatting after a session. But I can neither confirm or deny that. :)

      Another thing that struck me is how psycho an organization would have to be to actively blow off an obviously stellar person like you. There are not many who could either do or afford what you did in such a short time. If ethics is contemplation of long term survival, that by definition is very out-ethics of the cult of cabbage for doing that with you.

    Theta vampires – that’s what did you in so to speak. The sad story behind the story is that those SO members who regged you OUT of the church were probably under orders by those who were under orders by others to pursue you like they did so they could keep their stats up and be rewarded with 5-6 hours of sleep.

    I’m glad you found this field where you can and did continue to pursue a path that you found that whet your spiritual thirst.

  15. Awesome Brian. I used to shoot hoops with some guys on staff after hours and actualy had some OT experiences playing BB after sessions and stuff.
    For me I think “the zone” is when you exteriorize from the mind and start operating as a thetan. No thought in other words. That seems to be a common theme.

    Also I loved your “Zone” video. I can relate when I’m in the zone during my Enduro dirt bike races I have no fear no matter how challenging the terrain is and I know what happens when I get out of that Zone….I crash, my body hurts and so on. So your video really inspired me to work on staying in the zone through out my whole race. Thanks for sharing….your an anamazing guy!!!!!

The relentless assault for donations with no exchange continues to amaze me, imagine how many bridges you could have paid for to meet the long proclaimed goals of 10,000 people on OT7 resulting in a changed planet. (fools thinking DM’S shiny new building will clear them). It’s truly disgusting. Those that continue to stay and suffer thru this assault is even more perplexing (its like the lemmings jumping off the cliff) and the fact that you left before being flat ass broke is a feat in itself. VWD!

In his universe there is only him so could not comprehend this shadow flying past with balls – swoosh. His game was over before he even became aware he was playing it. He was staring at pictures and listening to his thoughts while you were in PT creating a future. Now that is playing life as a true professional! :)

It is the most incredible journey there is, and it is wonderful to have another friend such as you on that trek toward spiritual enlightenment. One of my favorite lines in any movie was in Sophie’s Choice where the question was: “The truth, the truth, what is the truth?” I ask myself that when I get into trouble, and the answer usually shows me the way out. Hope you’re at the Indie 4th celebration, where we can all be in “The Zone” together!

    Anyway, glad you’re out of the trap. As an artist/drummer, I get into the zone just like an athlete. Production, blood, sweat and tears add up to finding your game, making space, bending time and having fun!

    Non-creative types just don’t duplicate. It’s in the aesthetic band, just like pro athletes.

Among the many remarkable things about this young man surely the most remarkable is that he was able to get through so much Bridge despite the incessant regging, the out tech, the lack of compassion within Mestology etc etc ad nauseum. This is truly an exercise in sheer intention! What a travesty and irony it is that a real Scientologist – Brian – is thwarted in his tracks by those whose job it should be to nurture and develop such obvious talent.

  33. Good for you Brian! If you don’t mind, I think a couple of new religious movement scholars would be interested to hear your experiences.

    I’d love to hear your write a book, and include detailed coverage of your experiences and transition from official Scientology to the independent field of ex official Scientologists.

    If is so fascinating that the independent Scientologists are more successful at building up Scientology’s religious credibility compared to what official Scientology has been doing.

    I hope you have a positive influence long range, and my unreal hope is that someday the official church will all its accumulated wealth, buildings and so forth, wises up and adopts the positives that are displayed in the independent Scientology movement.

    Official Scientology is a tightly controlled bureaucracy, with all the obvious downsides of the fads that the official Scientology leader pushes.

    Please allow yourself to be interviewed when new religion scholars come your way, as you have recent info on life at Flag, which is important for comparison between official Scientology and your experiences with some stellar ex official Scientologists like Pierre and Ken U.

    The whole independent movement looks to me like a body of Scientologists wearing a bunch of hats that official Scientology is incapable of assuming due to top management of Scientology being tied up in their rules, rules that should be reformed/changed by wiser leaders, where wiser leaders in the pressure life at the Int Base have been impossible to make those wiser leaders, who could see and reform Scientology to let the positives of Scientology.

    So independent Scientology looks to me to have the drive to do things better.

    This site is a gold mine of research, so many important historical pieces of the puzzle I read here, every time I come here.

    I believe all people’s efforts will someday lead to reform in official Scientology.

    Fresh info is very good to find out what is changing, what is not changing, in official Scientology land, and particularly at the Flag Land Base.

  34. Ted Williams had a cabin on the St. Mary’s River in Nova Scotia. When I started to fly fish for Atlantic salmon he’d not used it or been there for some years. One day, I was hanging by that cabin and I saw in a riffle a fish come up, a ‘rise’. I went down and cast to this rise and sure enough, up came a salmon and took my fly! I landed that one. Took a lunch break and came back to the same spot. Holy cow! There was another salmon rising. I cast a few times and whump, my line went tight and I landed the second salmon.

    I killed those two fish – the last two salmon I’ve ever killed. From there I’ve gone on to hook, play and land and release a couple of thousand of these amazing creatures. Hit the zone I did.

    Last fall, while fishing with a buddy, the former Danish national champion of bodybuilding, he mentioned that I could place the fly exactly where I wanted to in a run, a riffle, some spot on the river. He had been watching me for some time, and commented on this ability. I described it to him as me extending out points to view, causing space and within that space that I created, I simply postulated where the fly would be as I cast. I KNOW how to do this. It was Scientology that I applied to regain the truth of it. And it works like a bomb.

Also, that it would be so bad as to make someone as obviously dedicated to the subject as you, have no other choice than to leave the confines of the church to find a safe place to practice.

    Space, a viewpoint of dimension — how well you expressed it; and I could not agree more that meditation is one means to achieve a much deeper view of that dimension.

    Like most of us here you are into helping — helping others, helping to improve conditions, helping to get the world to move up a little bit higher, etc., and that is not easy in this universe. LRH has a great way of putting it:

    “If you want to get a horrible reputation or get killed, you just go around sincerely and honestly helping people. If you want to know who’s helping people in this world, go around and find out who’s just on the verge of being killed. Yeah, look it over. It’s fascinating. It’s of course, reverse vector.” – LRH – PDC LECTURE: HOW TO TALK ABOUT SCIENTOLOGY

    • Friend of Ron,
      There’s a drill that I do, got it from Scn (first appeared in the early 50s under a topic called ‘Spacation’ and it’s described in the materials on Standard Operating Procedure 8) that is called different things. It’s sitting with the eyes closed and holding the attention on the two upper back corners of the room. While doing that, one is just being there, not thinking, and holding those two upper back corners. I do it and phooft, it all gets quieter in my universe sometimes after a minute or two, sometimes after a longer period. I think LRH called it ‘Be Happier’ or similar in the original Volunteer Minister’s Handbook.

      It’s a very handy little drill/ ‘meditation’. I suppose you could sit under a tree and hold two upper spots on it, some distance apart, and not think but just be there and sooner or later…well, it is described as ‘unlimited’ :-)

        Yes, one of my favorite “Drills” as well. A long time ago I read where LRH also promoted it as a “drill” to look and be younger.

        There is a lot of “seeing of dimension” that kicks in for me, as the thinking stops and things go quiet.

          • The final step of my CCRD was about as mind-blowing as could be and it was very much about creating space. LOTS of space! I kept thinking, “I’m so friggin BIG, how could I possibly fit into this body?”

              That reminded me of the Hard TRs Course at Flag in the 76. I had the same sort of ‘size’ perception at the end of it. During the course Chuck Murray had me read PAB 4, Beingness and Certainty Processing. Taking Beingness from the Factors commencing with the extension of points to view here’s a snip from that PAB.

              “The reason behind beingness is the drama of cause and effect. It has been isolated that the total reason for activity which explains all other activities is “to produce an effect.” In this we have a dimensionless CAUSE ambitious only to produce an EFFECT and to handle effects which are produced on it.

              “BEINGNESS is the modus operandi of effects. The thetan would rather have less than more identity and becomes only when he cannot otherwise produce an effect.”

              • Great reference, JLo. It explains much of how we came to be here. I remember as a kid playing with toy soldiers and wishing I could immerse myself in the little war games I had them playing. File that one under: Be careful what you wish for!

    The dedicated hard working Tech staff who helped Brian through his services must be getting pretty damn sick of the insane regging screwing up their products. I know many public who are still “in” who have thrown in the towel cause of this crap and have no intention of doing further services. Hell, even OSA people must occasionally pull their hair out with stories like this.

      Thank you for setting an example, an inspiration to all. What you have learned and are able to do in body control and intention is phenomenal. I watched all of the vid’s and you really are good at what you do. I especially liked the very appropriate quotes from others along the way. You set an example of true OT – something you were even before OT levels were done. You have been moving forward on the line of truth for a while and it shows. Thanks for being there.         One of the things I realized while I was seeing the outpouring of emotions that day years and years after he died was that all the great things on this planet, all of the beautiful art, the most amazing ideas, scientific breakthroughs, and everything else decent and good on this planet~ they always always come from individuals.

        They never come from groups, nations, commissions, or any other aggregation. They come from individual people that have the courage and strength to rise above the “normal” considerations of the masses.

        Spiritual masters like Christ, Buddha or Sivananda. Scientists like Bohr, Planck and Einstein. Artists like Kandinsky, Hemmingway, and Mercury. They had one thing in common: They looked at the world straight in the face and said “NO. I disagree with how you do it. I’m doing it my way.” And because of that simple consideration~ we never forget them, and we never will.

        The world today is so sick because the culture on this planet is so obsessed with collective thinking, collective actions, collective ideas. It is obsessed with making nothing of the individual for the “we are all one” mentality. This is the path of a dead society and a dead planet. The source of life is the individual. Everything great comes from individuals that have the courage to rise above everyone else and make a better world. And the greatest groups, countries, businesses, and teams were great only when they acknowledged the individuals that made it up in the first place.

        I felt after leaving that statue that day that I really just saw a great man, a true artist, an individual in the highest sense. He let his light shine so bright and his impact was so great that his spirit will always live on.

        The great Russian painter Kandinsky said about the artist the following: “The true artist must be blind to ‘recognized’ and ‘unrecognized’ form, deaf to the teachings and desires of his time. His open eyes must be directed to his inner life and his ears must be constantly attuned to the voice of inner necessity.”

          One of the biggest wins, returning the greatest ability, for me in Scientology was the recognition I did not have to agree.

          • Here’s my experience with disagreement. While becoming more aware I discovered that I did not have to agree. It was an amazing win to no longer suffer other-determined conditions, to operate on the basis of another’s causation.

            And disagreeing was a lot of fun.

            Then I learned that reality is really agreement. The more I examined ARC the more I learned that I could agree without becoming effect of agreement. I could see (C as in communication, perceive) the most ridiculous and offensive realities, while maintaining my own.

            I had learned the ability to agree once again. Agree by choice. Or disagree.

            Or disagree while agreeing. (Contradictory realities only clash when competing for the same space or acceptance point.)

            I had a choice. And choice was senior to agreeing or disagreeing.

            You can’t audit someone without getting into ARC with them. You can’t handle their overts without the ability to “agree” with their overts and with all those incidents which he or she couldn’t confront. If you don’t “agree” you don’t duplicate and you don’t understand–and communication breaks down.

            A person must learn to “agree” with the bank in order to as-is it. Same principle.

            Perhaps, the discussion of OT fails around this simplicity: the inability to agree and duplicate. A person who can’t duplicate a nothingness will never grasp a static. A person who can’t duplicate and agree to all the force and energy that comprise a body can’t really fully “disagree” with being the body, thus can’t become completely free of the body.

            Just as there is a scale of agreement, there is a scale of disagreement. Rejection of something not understood is disagreement, but disagreement without commensurate increase in understanding. A misunderstood word is a disagreement that benefits no one. The lack of agreement is followed by a blankness in comprehension.

            You can extrapolate this across the dynamics.

            A degree of pan-determined agreement and disagreement probably serves us better, where we can perceive the realities of others (agree) while not incorporating them into our own universe or reality.

            Based in choice rather than ARC break.

    The Church seems to have an MU on disagreeing with the MEST Universe. They think it means that you can Reg someone, get the product then come back and come back ad nauseum. If the Regs protest, I’m sure they are told to knock off their considerations. The product – an ARCX field!
    I think the disagreeing is supposed to come in this way. Execs of the org are nervous. They need completions. They need GI. There is pressure. But, instead of going into agreement with the franticness and ARC breaking everyone, they “disagree.” And still deliver the service that would be best for the person in front of them. They maintain ARC. They maintain good relations with the public and staff. They continue to move everyone up a little higher. That to me is OT.

      Independents practice Scientology per LRH’s written materials.

      Some Quarters of the Freezone practice Capt. Squirrel’s Version of Scientology not in written by form by LRH, but supposedly “channeled” from LRH.

      The “Verbal Tech Checklist” and “Hidden Data Line” PLs clearly distinguish the two. “False Data Stripping” HCOB should any confusions remain.

      David Mayo was a Freezoner but not part of any “channeled” Tech.

      Thus the Freezone is not one and the same thing either.

      Some people have asserted that “Independent Scientologists” are part of the greater Freezone. And then others care not about semantics and just do their own thing.

      Step out of the BOX is HAVING to pigeon-hole another scientologist into your acceptable box and just let them BE.

        WH, your right about the tolerance. That needs to also embrace not trying to control the other in any way. We see where the desire and “need” for control has led the church. Scientology wanted to control every aspect of the subject, from evolution to application to the economics of the practitioners. I say let folks like Brian Culkin find scientology where he wants. Free market. Shop around. Eventually the best application will be the ones who attract the most folks. It may be hard for some to “let go” of the need to control thats been ingrained in us over decades, but “let go” is exactly what is needed. Scientology practitioners and those who use or apply it should be free to associate with whom they please. The controlled and heavily promoted expansion has done as much harm as good. There are better ways to disseminate the subject so it does not bite back at the practitioner or the public. We need to learn the lessons of the past. LRH was right far more often than he was wrong, but controlling scientology proved an impossible task, even for him. And thats a lesson we all need to embrace.

      • WH, so far I’m not seeing a whole lot of “love everyone” rants or any rants at all. I suspect that’s because you’re so well respected here, included by me.

        I agree with you about 90% regarding need for tolerance. Where I depart from that, however, is when it comes to squirrelling Scientology tech.

        As has been pointed out on this blog more than once, and I don’t have to tell you, Scientology processing deals with charge – force – the living lightening. It’s real, and I’m sure I don’t need to remind you of that either.

        When someone misapplies Scientology tech to another incorrectly, it can screw them up big-time because of restimuating and mishandling the charge on their case. Is that not one of the main problems we are seeing in CofM right now?? Isn’t one of the reasons DM gets so much hammering on this blog is because of the extent to which he has squirrelled and misapplied Scientology tech? Are we not justified in hammering him tooth and nail because he is screwing people up??

        Just within the last couple weeks, there has been much discussion of “OT VIII comps” sick, dying, going crazy, etc. from DM’s squirrel version(s) of that level.

        I’m sorry. If someone wants to meditate, join a monastery, practice Tarot, study the bible, be a Buddhist, atheist, Druid, etc etc, fine by me. I can easily grant beingness to all sorts of practices and beliefs. I enjoy hearing about other avenues to enlightenment. Don’t tell DM, but I’ve had one of the best Tarot practitioners in the world read my cards or whatever they call it. Tolerance of other beliefs is a good thing.

        But when it comes to intentionally misapplying Scientology tech to another, I believe we who have full subjective reality on the power of these tools to both help and harm, have an ethical obligation to oppose.

        I just the other day heard a story about a well-known old-timer giving a LIFE REPAIR “session” to a well-known celebrity while drinking wine and tossing in some processes from OT 5 on a whim. I know the story is true.

        This is not something to “just let be”. At the very least, it should be strongly condemned and disagreed with by those of us who KNOW better.

          Foremost, this is in response to Publius as well. Last year we had on this blog a very heated and lengthly discussion on KSW and all that implied and resulted in. This is the same issue. The world is in flames, economies are crashing, and official scientology has gone to the dogs. Your willing to tolerate others beliefs but don’t call it scientology and do not tolerate squirrels. I don’t care about the first point, others can argue that in court, but the second I am willing to tolerate. LRH gave us the tech, and processes which are HUGE. They better conditions, bring relief, etc. I do not care who uses them or what they call them as long as they are used beneficially. I do not feel we have the luxury time on our side. If we didnt have it in 1950, we surely do not have it today. And if LRH and the SO could not contain the subjects “purity” then its not likley to happen going forward. Knowing what I know, and given a choice, I would send my family member to that person who is getting results. And its not the Church. I am not going to be like the fundamentalist christian pounding on a bible and asserting it be interpreted and acted upon literally, other sects be dammed. In your world there is room only for the gospel, not for the applications and interpretations of reformists like Luther. I think your position is safe from your point of view and would limits the subjects availability if you had the power to do so. And that is one of the reasons we are in the mess we are. Sorry, but thats my take on it.

  60. Eventually, as the tireless, incessant, non stop regging became too much to bear for myself I eventually left for good. I was targeted daily by IAS, Superpower, Ideal Orgs, etc. They knew I was young and had some financial resources so it was truly non stop. I was routinely cornered in a room by up to 10 people. After I completed my Patron, I was almost immediately regged for my Patron Meritorious in the same non stop manner as my Patron.

    That was pretty much my take on it as well when I left.

    Its my total conviction, regardless what other remedies or reforms are done to, or by the Church, this facet of incessantly sharking member pocketbooks will in due time be the sole Source of CO$’s demise.

  63. I don’ t know what to say. I think Brian is a good person and he is willing to look which many are not in other things besides the church stuff.

    It is good he was able to see about the church and get out which is a credit but I wonder what was learned in the process.

    I learned so many more lessons in my exit and the time I spent on the reading about it and looking at Science and other things that lead my evolution to being able to think on my own with our the guide that I have to do it because LRH said so.

    I can be for auditing and I can think for myself and why I tend to stay out of groups so I can speak my mind. It was a lesson I learned in the FZ. If you don’t you often get evaluated as wanting in personality or case level.

    I want to think for myself and so I work to do so and some don’t like what I have to say because what I have observed. I will not compromise what I have observed or be put down because I observed it saying it is case or such crap. Which is an invalidation of my own observations.

    I know Brain was willing to look at other ways of doing things through Science and such things. It is a credit to him.

  70. Brian’s post from Nov 2010 put up by Sapere Aude got me thinking about individuality and its drawbacks.

    In one of Ron’s tapes from late 1950 (ARC and the Dynamics?) he talked about how individuality comes from breakdowns in ARC. Little theta vs big theta. A part of the body gets injured and becomes individuated from the rest of the body. A child gets sufficiently upset and withdraws ARC from his family–he becomes an INDIVIDUAL. Groups don’t agree and go out of ARC and become individual entities. On up the dynamics.

    The individual fares best when operating across the dynamics.

    One of the enduring criticisms of LRH is his “greed.” The claim is that he was just in it for himself. And for someone stuck in the first dynamic, believing that self-interest motivates all human endeavor, that makes perfect sense. What LRH outflowed was viewed only as a means of inflowing.

    But, anyone who truly understands Scientology, knows how ridiculous it is to inflow, inflow, inflow. That’s a quick route to becoming a rock. And I just have this wild idea that LRH probably understood Scientology–maybe even better than me. Maybe.

    (Though probably not as much as the critics.)

    Being cause across the dynamics is far preferable than being the effect, and acquisition of goods makes one effect.

    But, back to individuality as an artist. Art is communication. This is a two terminal universe with a three terminal twist. Energy flows across two terminals. A datum can only be evaluated against a datum of comparable magnitude. Two terminals. Requiring someone to experience the energy, requiring someone to evaluate the data.

    Art is a datum. It is something originating at one point and has value only when communicated: even if only communicated on the first dynamic– which has become two terminals as communication requires two terminals.
    Communication (art, ideas) requires someone at the other end who is of comparable magnitude to duplicate that which has been originated.

    And the idea that great art is disagreement falls short because the best art enhances our ARC rather than breaks our ARC. Great art is based in agreement, based in reality. Great art enhances an existing reality or an existing view of reality.

    I once read a poem about an art contest for the “most original work.” The writer noted that those works which were most original so greatly exceeded the reality of the judges that they were rejected as worthless–they were just too far beyond the realms of what the judges found acceptable, based in their own reality. The pieces that won only slightly stretched those bounds of acceptability.

    We never celebrate those whose vision so greatly exceeds our capacity as to be incomprehensible. “Great Scientific Thinkers” are those who only slightly stretched the credibility of the scientific community. Who knows what wisdom has been burned as “useless” simply because the ideas soared beyond comprehension.

    The individual may be the basic unit in comprehending life, but life is so much more. And though life depends on the greatness of the individual, life composed of nothing but individuals begins to fragment fairly quickly.

    Life functions best with all dynamics being regarded. Individual improvement fares best when all dynamics are addressed.

    Individuals differ in theta endowment, in intelligence and talent, ARC and KRC, and in all attributes. Some rise to greatness. And a celebration of that greatness is warranted. But, in the end, a leader cannot exist without followers. An artist cannot flourish without communication. And communication requires someone to receive that communication–someone willing to agree enough to form a common reality.

    Though the great may receive the preponderance of accolades, all of life deserves to be admired and appreciated and granted beingness. All of life requires its share of ARC. For when that ARC is denied, the conditions of existence begin to rapidly deteriorate.

    We’re kind of in this together. I seriously doubt that any of us will ever be able to just go off and settle into our own universe without having to deal with any others. It has never worked in the past. Nirvana has that huge flaw. You can’t just rise up to such a level that you become an “Only One.”

    This universe is only the latest solution in a long string of solutions for dealing with individuals and with an inability to maintain ARC and to grant beingness to others and their creations.

    One thing often overlooked about LRH–his appreciation and ARC for all thetans, large or small, poor or rich, gifted or not. His ability to grant beingness.

    So, the importance of individuality pales compared to something much greater. And that something which is much greater includes every one of you, agreeing or disagreeing.

      Fantastic post! That was so real. The fact about LRH – “his ability to grant beingness,” was so very very true. He allowed all beings to be themselves and not be robotic or fit some clone of his idea, which is what we see today under DM. Thanks for that comment. I really liked it! :)

      • Yep. That’s why I really like listening to LRH lectures – his ARC for just about everyone comes across so clearly. He is able to chuckle about and grant beingness to some people I would feel like shooting out of hand! As in his descriptions of communicating with the realities of folks on the sub-zero scale. LRH was able to confront and accept beingnesses that many people would consider simply unacceptable.

        And he always looked to validate the best of a person, at the same time as he could see the worst. As Marty would say, LRH had his ACT ONE in. It comes through clearly in many of his lectures.

It’s ironic that with all of DM’s urges to have good publicity as such a priority, that the church had a gem right in their hands, who could have had a very positive effect on Scientology’s image if they would have just let him be audited, let him audit, let him do his own thing, without all the unusual solutions and greed, which are supposedly there to “unite, advance, protect and support….” Sheesh!

    I had an experience in my training that I would compare to the Zone, as it’s called. I was doing a metering video, three Tone 40 assessments, and I was in total present time, I knew exactly what I was doing. I could feel something keeping me in present time and focused yet relaxed and confident and certain. It felt like some kind of force which was being put there by myself. I felt that the usual urge I would have had in the past to start thinking about other things, whether I was going to pass the video or not, I could have succumbed to that urge but this time I knew that I was not going to do that. I just stayed in present time and I could feel a “force” for lack of a better word, keeping me there. That was the best reality I ever had on what Tone 40 is. In my opinion the phenomenon that is called the Zone is at least similar to that.

    Sadly I have seen this played out in the Freezone, long before Marty arrived. My current Forum, FreezoneOrg is on its fourth incarnation.
    In general all previous destructions happened because certain people insisted there KSW was better than anothers KSW. Attacked each other re KSW on the forums we had. Finally after a gross betrayal where someone covertly destroyed the last incarnation of the forum by pressing the delete button, in the name of KSW, I rebuilt the forum again quite quickly. And I really don’t want to go through that strenuous effort again.

    And we were all KSW scientologists. :(

    In all this I have been the major promoter of scn on the net, and have been fiercely attacked all along the way by critics. The three forums I’ve promoted have a combined membership of around 1400.

    So I have a certain reservation when someone makes others wrong
    and justifiying it with KSW 1. I contend making right is senior.

    The creed is by definition senior to policy. The above is a statement from the creed.

    The situation as I see it now is that the subject of scientology
    is in severe trouble. The COS is hated universally. I know because I have or am promoting scn tech in non critical forums. Such as Myspace. And get attacked with the same ferocity as ARS or OCMB.

    There ARE no non critical forums. In general the world hates
    CO$ and by extension scientology.

    Re the Freezone there are offshoots, such as Idenics, Knowledgism etc. I have no interest in attacking them which KSW would oblige me to do so. Nor do I promote them.

    We have a thread started by those who are pro KSW talking of the problems re OT VII and OT VIII. The stories elsewhere about problems there are legion.

    Where it comes about I will promote Rons Orgs. Rarely happens as they are in general not active in the english language.

    They are VERY successful with div 6. Almost all Rons Org members
    were never in CO$. They outnumber all ” freezoners” and “independents” in the english language.

    I have no preference here, but this thread shows that doing these areas in CO$ is problematical to say the least.

    Possibly a forum for those above Ot III may be created to discuss such matters. There is in existence an FZ forum for such, but maybe Marty you wish to start your own.

    As a designated Court Jester, by you, I’m afraid I have some serious
    questions and matters to discuss.

    A traditional role but perhaps I exceed the traditional role in that I bring little comedy.

    Sports embodies as a metaphor the basic scenario for all life… goals, obstacles, and play.

    Being in the Zone is awesome. The world around simply effortlessly complies.

    The oft quoted Goethe phrase is a description of the Zone:

    “t the moment one definitely commits oneself, then providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one’s favor all manner of unforeseen incidents, meetings and material assistance which no man could have dreamed would have come his way. Whatever you can do or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it. Begin it now.”

    The world most obviously complies within the laws of physics, but that doesn’t make less of the phenomenon taking place, of consciousness/thought/being/theta at the helm!

    We have a playing field of Matter, Energy and Space/Time here…fun, once one gets the hang of it. (Pass the Object, anyone?) Nevertheless…

Not only did he show incredible courage and conviction by walking away from the corruption and lies, he was also brave enough to tell his story in the hopes of helping others find their own truth. I give him a great deal of credit for his openness and honesty and I admire him immensely.

    I believe we are all for workability.

    The adition at OT2 from CBR is to look at CC platens if one didn’t
    go clear on CC. Worked real good for me.

    What I did is workable.

    Some may consider its not scn. Was good for me.

    The tech is not perfect. Insistance that it is, is a losing path.

    LRH stated its WORKABLE not perfect.

    Don’t expect all follow my path, [ really standard tech] Making me wrong for what I’ve done is nonsense.

    • I think there are questions in many minds of what EXACTLY is Standard Tech.

      This hasn’t come out in the wash yet, it will take an complete and incredibly thorough sort-out such as Jim Logan does, and it’s gonna take some time.

      Do I know what “Standard Tech” is? No, not in it’s details. The Grade Chart I am familiar with is from the late 1960s! And I haven’t done it, just read it.

      In the meantime, it seems best to be “conservative” in the best sense of the word – preserving what someone knows works. Marty knows what he means by Standard Tech and that is exactly what he ought to do and promote.

      From a post on Jeff’s blog – Now, I certainly hope that some group somewhere preserves and holds to the standard of what I think of as “Standard Tech”. It is a compendium of unique skills, just as kung-fu or karate or qigong or acupuncture are.”

      I had in mind that in Korean karate based fighting styles, there are differences, but each is effective. One is not necessarily more “KKW”(keeping karate working) than another. But these have developed over hundreds of years. It would be a shame to lose any of them, nor ought any of them be mixed with another. Each ought to be preserved in it’s purity, studied and practised as itself.

      Just so with Standard Tech as developed by LRH. It is it’s own”brand” and ought to be preserved as such, insofar as we are able to comprehend it. That is the whole point of KSW.

      In the (possibly distant) future, when the dust has settled from the flap DM has created with his iteration of the CoS, top tech terminals from Independent Scientology, Ron’s Org, Idenics etc can sit down and workout the actual relative place and validity of each, if they wish to. Since each is thoroughly based on some aspect of LRH’s R&D, this would be a fine thing to do. And my guess is, if those disciplines are still in existence then,it will be because the practitioners of each have found that their system does “work”.

      In the mean time it is well to recognize there may occur small differences in the way “scientology” is practiced, but that the differences do not necessarily signal evil intent on anyone’s part; it may be due simply to the limits that human understanding is prey to. And it needs to be kept in mind that KSW was not written to be used as a serfac, but that the workable LRH system be learned, practiced, preserved and adhered to in it’s purity insofar as we are able to do that, simply because it works.

    Since more than 30 years I am looking how to better define electromagnetic waves. As I read this blog article and looked at the videos a bit later I had a cog about physical universe space. This enabeling me to define electromagnetic waves better.
    In case I can use that definition to better electricity production I report it.

    There is no doubt about your honesty. And your fast flow disagreement with those circumstences you were faced with is incredible.
    You’re the embodiment of inspiration.
