What We Do

…In the Words of Those Who Have Been Here

Repairing oppressive, squirrel misapplication

pierAfter examining thoroughly the existing scene as regards the Church, I came to the conclusion that to try and move up the Bridge at Flag or an AO would result in a very real PTS situation. However, not being satisfied with a theoretical answer, I went further and took the first steps back into the Church. Immediately, I was back into the nightmare of David Miscavige’s empire of Squirrel Ethics, Policy and Tech. It was acutely enturbulating, and I could see plainly that I was not only flirting with disaster, but walking straight into the teeth of personal ruin: damage to my case, health, happiness, ability to think, and my financial well-being.

After nearly 20 years in the Sea Org, when I disconnected from the C of S a few years ago — I immediately experienced a resurgence of Cause. Overnight I regained numerous OT abilities, abilities I hadn’t seen for years. This was a huge, sweeping and remarkable difference. So I continued to observe my progress on the OT Scale, and I gauged the validity of my path by the resulting increase or decrease thereon.

As LRH says, everyone is somewhere on the OT Scale.

And also as LRH says, the OT levels are not the only route to OT. There is also demonstration of competence. And I found there was a direct connection between acting to maintain my personal integrity and Cause level (which perforce includes remaining disconnected from suppressive people and groups) and my consequent happiness,
stability, effortlessness, and OTness.

A crossroads came when I really had to choose between going back into the Church (going PTS and forfeiting my integrity) or remaining “out.” Going back into the Church meant MAYBE one day having the chance to resume the OT levels). But that was a big “maybe.” Furthermore, I was told the only way to get there was to accept more wrong condition assignments — and frankly, I am no longer willing to accept a single assignment of a wrong condition. That is David Miscavige’s standard operation to enslave and make people effect. He brings them down to his level by accusing them of “out ethics” (a generality) and then assigning them wrong conditions. You rapidly go effect and then you’re done. The only alternative to that was to remain “out”, doing the right thing, maintaining my integrity and refusing to sink down into the mire of being PTS to Miscavige and the groups under his direct influence.

Since Miscavige is a suppressive person, and since his orders influence every aspect of Sea Org life, the group itself has been subverted and has become to that degree a suppressive group because they enforce suppressive orders instead of Scientology.

It was a tough decision, but I decided to do the right thing, keep my integrity, remain disconnected from DM’s suppression. Soon I wasback at Cause. Then came Marty who offered his services as a tech terminal.

In all the years I was in the SO, most of them spent at the Int Base, I didn’t move a single inch up the Bridge. And I was right on Miscavige’s lines. Oh, he made sure I went in session, though!

That’s right: Miscavige ordered I get in session, but only to redo rundowns I had already done. LRH called that “executive C/Sing” and it was outlawed as gross Out Tech. Letting any executive C/S (arbitrarily ordering case actions when they are not qualified nor have they done any folder study is illegal as hell and 100% OUT TECH). But that never stopped Miscavige.

So I spent months re-doing actions I had already done to a good result the first time. And if you know anything about the Tech, you know that having pcs repeat actions is a flagrant auditing error, tantamount to auditing with the meter turned off.

Fast forward to my visit with Marty. He rapidly sorted out my location on the Bridge, reconstructed my pc folders (since my actual folders are still at Int and are certain to remain there), did the necessary review and BANG he got me started on my next Bridge action, 100% correct. Now I’m flying! Actually moving up the Bridge for the first time in more than 20 years.

The Bridge IS the basic program for all people. The technology is spectacular.

Yet none of this was hard to do. Standard Tech is never hard. What’s hard is Out Tech! Receiving auditing while you’re being suppressed by DM directly or indirectly, grinding away on rundowns you’ve already done, auditors who are applying his squirrel version of LRH Tech. That’s hard.

I don’t think anyone can move up the Bridge within the Church unless you have a limitless supply of cash. They are on people endlessly for illegal donations for IAS, SuperPower, Ideal Org buildings, etc. All in heavy violation of LRH Policy and the very purpose of orgs. If nothing else, you’re going to go PTS and you can’t audit over a PTS condition. You can’t make case gain while connected to a person or group who is being suppressive.

So I’m really glad, because I see now by choosing to do the right thing, I have ended up getting everything.

These days you can’t stay in the Church and go OT. You’re just going to go broke and PTS. never had a better, more standard auditor than Marty. He’s the best.

Handling invalidation and rehabbing gains

bird

I want to thank you for the best 2 days since leaving the Sea Org 12 years ago. Absolutely the best thing I have done since leaving is connecting up with you. I have continued to blow charge of the self invalidation since leaving four days ago. I realized that I am in great shape and I have rekindled the purpose for me.

Just being able to talk about what happened to someone who was actually there without the fear of being clobbered was a relief. Just simple two way communication about my feelings and what was going on at the time has blown the guilt I have had for 12 years since leaving friends behind and feeling that their demise was my fault. I know now that it was the right decision to make for me and my children. I know that I have absolutely without a doubt no anger towards my friends there and that they were just doing their jobs as best they knew how; all for the purpose of protecting LRH tech thinking, however wrong, that I was a threat to them and their survival. Little do they know that I truly am the wrong target but you do not see this if you are in the midst of the storm itself.

Hearing your perspective cleared even more up for me about LRH and the insanity at Int. I received so many life changing wins and gains from LRH technology during the 25 years I practiced Scientology. I do not feel I was duped by LRH or Scientology in the least. You rekindled my entire bridge; as some things I have heard over the years had put little thoughts that lead to self invalidation. I know the tech works and I am a living example of that. Just the few short sessions that we had confirmed what I knew all along. I have survived in an environment all by myself and I am a living breathing example of that without any tech to guide me along.

Your life that you have built in Texas is refreshing. Monique is absolutely terrific and I thoroughly enjoyed our conversations. Again thank you for being there for me.

This is the Session!

In two intensives I totally handled a hang up that had nagged me all of my life. Thirty years of psychotherapy had only made it worse. Now it is gone!

-C.B.

What this has done for me is so big. We’ve removed so much invalidation and suppression on my own
knowingness and beingness. I can just know and be without being afraid or having to defend or worry about what others will think or how they will react or even whether or not they can have it. I am excited about life and about the future and how I am going to use and be my newly re-acknowledged self. It’s awesome.

- R.M.

New OT V really does handle the living lightning. I’ve been looking forward to this action for years and finally experienced it for myself. WOW! It is powerful, just as everyone says. Truly amazing technology, not a rehash of anything lower on the Bridge. It’s a whole new level of discoveries.

One thing I heard people often say is that they experienced bigger gains per minute on NOTs than on lower Bridge actions and I can now attest this is true. As you move up the Bridge the gains get bigger.

It is a beautiful, beautiful level. Marty’s tech is superb. I never had any attention on the auditor or the metering. I was 100% in session in a 100% distraction-free environment. That is truly an ideal scene.

No crazy hassling by registrars and MAAs to overspend, donate, run up debt on my credit cards. Just 100% Standard Tech!

  1. Mr. Rathbun,

I just read this piece of your blog. I want to ask a specific question regarding this piece:

Question: What OT powers did you recover?

  2. martyrathbun09

You are not alone with the observations you’ve made. I attribute some of these types of stories to the power of the tech of suppression. When one removes oneself from a suppressive influence one tends to become well and flourish. One hitch is that a lot of folks remain under the suppressive influence – evaluation, invalidation, etc they carry with them – even after they’ve physically left the scene. That is the primary purpose for getting the truth out.

    • What is the responsibility of the person who stays connected to anything suppressive? I consider the United States Government far more oppressive and suppressive than the Church of Scientology but then again it wasn’t until the US Government infiltrated the Church in 1977 during the FBI raids that management at the highest levels of the Church became what it had resisted for more than thirty years. Is that maxim still true? What you resist you become and if you keep resisting the Church of Scientology doesn’t that make you just as good as they are? Love ya Marty still!

      • Who’s resisting?

        • Hi Marty, I’m not sure how to contact you to ask your advice about a very troubling situation concerning COS. Can you please direct me to a more proper place to explain the situation?

          Sincerely,
          Annette/Memphis TN

        • Allan Hendrickson

          Greetings,

I was never in the SO but created some major campaigns at the C of S and would like to find out more about the independent practice. I have a ton of materials and have no interest in rejoining the Church. I love the tech and refuse to belong to the group. I’m not unsure of what I witnessed and experienced but I would love to use this tech to help people and I’m really good at it.

  3. Thanks, but that really didn’t answer the question.

  4. Anonymous,
If you recall, one is as OT as he is cause. I’d say there’s ample evidence of that on this website.

    Jim

    • Exactly Jim:) Very well said.

    • One is only as OT as one has and makes continuous positive postulates. Natter is not a postulate! If you want to continuously make negative postulates be my infinite guest, but I won’t be there to listen to you complain about your own self slavery!

    • David Miscavige is a delusional nutcase. Dressing up his dog in a SO uniform shows how highly he respects SO members. He more than anyone harms the reputation of Scientology. I want Miscavige sec checked to see what he is hiding and if he slept with female SO staff. That man is not a Scientologist. An Anon posted the run ins of his father with the law. The man uses the names of Int staff to make it go away because his son David is the King in a castle that he stole.

When was the last time Miscavige (junior and senior) turnen a OW writeup in?

  5. martyrathbun09

Anonymous, that was not my story. It was a story of a friend that I posted. That entire “what we do” section has the full title “what we do in the words of those who have experienced it.”

  6. Accidently or Intentionally you found the real why and communicated it to us. I can observe much more OT activity the last weeks.

    Thanks a lot.

  7. just found you blog… we are the parents dealing with all your hard work….I hope you have some time to help us get our kids back…. (we feel the only way is HUGE NATIONAL ATTENTION… )

  8. Hi Marty,
I’ve been a Scientologist since 1969. I finished Solo I a few years ago, had some OT Preps and finally just quit getting auditing. I now will not go into an org, answer their calls or emails.

I have a question – has the definition of an F/N been altered? I’ve gotten reports from some pretty realiable people. It ‘s kind of important to me to get the answer from someone who knows.

    Thanks,
    wcoastt

    • Hi Wcoastt – Yes. It has been trained in that there need be a certain number of “swings”. That is why they make auditors that look like they are waiting for the meter to play Dixie. That is why they specialize in overrun. A good percentage of the time while the auditor looks at the needle in anxiety, the F/N dies.

  9. ok Marty ..
sorry not even going to pretend to understand.

when meg came home to tell us about her WIN and that she had decided to join sea-org….

she looked like a drug addict looking for a fix.. her eyes were glazed as she told us we just didn’t understand… she was HAPPY and this is what made her happy..

yeah getting that rush must feel great ..

lets all go do some heroin…..

    nate and mona

PLEASE TRY AND HELP US UNDERSTAND

I get your trying to help people the best you see fit…

    • My guess is that if you treat like a “drug addict looking for a fix” then your chances of ever re-united are about nil. I think that if you study what it is about Scientology that appeals to folks your chances will rise exponentially. I would recommend you start with the book Fundamentals of Thought.

  10. It’s been great reading some good news, from happy people, who are really glad. Happiness is contagious too! “The greater the obstacle, the more glory in overcoming it.”
    Moliere

  11. I’ve enjoyed following your story. Something healthy about looking in the eye the very thing that had enthralled you, impressed you or suppressed you. Leaving the church in ’97 after 29 years of imersion was perhaps the biggest resurgence I had since I first got involved… no longer was the tech, LRH or Miscavige senior to my own knowing and intuition.

You once stated the idea of scientology was “to be yourself”… couldn’t agree more but then again scientology isn’t necessarily required for that. One of the characters that helped me re-orient after letting go of the the CofS was Bashar a channeled extraterrestrial with his signature line, “follow your excitement”. Many other former scientologists were attracted to him in the 80s especially and being that he was at least 3 feet behind planet earth they asked him his take on scientology. His take was that it was a system that would attract those beings who beleived they needed a structure and authoritarian hierarchy to explore and claim their own freedom. Bingo, that made sense to me.

Hooray for any use of the tech that brings us back to ourselves…. and imagine that beyond that and all the other isms and practices is simply trusting ourselves and being in more knowing relationship with one another.

Loved that photo of you and Mike Rinder…it says so much without saying a word. You have some great essays on your blog.

    • You know when you treat Scientology as an assist to lift people toward those universal truths that some naturally or through intense study and discipline – and I am not one of them – have found a way to understand and live happily by, I find it extremely powerful. An old friend who was a personal aide to LRH for many years told me LRH talked about it in similar terms more than once.

  12. After my intial twenty something year obsession with scientology as the answer to everything I emerged to see it was at its best as you say…. an assist not an addiction. I also saw that there are as many ways to access higher wisdom as there are people. Kudos for taking what you know and making it sing.

  13. you might be out of the organization but you still sound wacko. Why do you people believe in all this gibbly gook?

  14. I believe that the question that Anonymous wanted the answer to, which you so expertly skirted around, was “What OT powers are there”… or more simply, “What powers do OT’s posess that people who are not OTs do not posess?”

I’d like to know the answer to that question. Quite frankly, I haven’t seen evidence of any OT powers. I’ve read of many claims of OT powers, most famously Tom Cruise’s claim that an OT can stop a traffic accident. So if you wouldn’t mind answering, what OT powers do you posess? What OT powers are you willing to demonstrate?

I personally believe that if anyone demonstrated a tenth of what Scientology promises in terms of OT powers, then everyone would want to join. Such demonstrations have not materialised. Why is that?

  15. Oh, I see you recommend ‘fundamentals of thought’ to read,. Well then, maybe you can explain why to ‘not-know’ is given equality to ‘know’
Yes Marty, I’ve spent many years living in the rabbit hole of the tech. Unlike you, I accept that lron was no more a man of exceptional insight than Hitler was.
It truly saddens me to see someone as yourself still clinging to the hope that lron has the answers.

Or is it that you see an opportunity to do to DM that of which he did to lron.

Whatever the case may be, there still are no OT’s nor clears as defined by the old man himself. If there were just one single OT in existense, then scientology would have proliferated across the globe and every man woman and child would be seeking the omnipotence lron professed.
Sorry Marty, but you’re a hypocrite

    • Stephan, I’m sorry you didn’t make it. I hope whatever answers you’ve found are making your happy – though by your tone, it doesn’t sound like it.

  16. Mark (Marty) or (whomever maintains this site)

Can you please post the exact source of these quotes you read. I would very much like to read this in context. Thank you

As LRH says, everyone is somewhere on the OT Scale.

And also as LRH says, the OT levels are not the only route to OT.

  17. If DM were not in power would you still be a Scientologist?

  18. Dooooooooooood. Great blog! Thanks for all the information :) I know many have congratulated you, but I come from a long line of people who believe if ya feel it, say it! So, with that, thank you
for speaking out, taking responsibility for your actions and so perfectly laying down the facts,
and sticking with what you believe.
“The truth shall set you free”, eh? I find this to be true…more and more, each day.
My best to you :) Tory/Magoo

    • Thanks Tory!

    • Thanks Tory for visiting..
the taking responsibility part is hard for all of us.. we feel so guilty for missing the opportunity 10 years ago when Savannah wanted to leave her mothers home at 15 and sign a billion year contract with the La sea-org .. and again 2 years later with Megan (our youngest daughter) and the red flags first when up again.

HOW COULD WE HAVE MISSED THIS..

we accept responsibility now. we will do everything in our power to stop even 1 families pain.

      all out love
      nate and mona

  19. Stephan,

You are an angry man. You are not even kind to yourself, how could you see kindness in others. God help you man.

  20. Still here….

Perhaps you could just tell me which book or lecture you read it in….no ill intent here….I know I read it too, I just cant recall where.

  21. I was a public from 1991-2002 as well as a Sea Org member and would like to collect some of my freeloader debts I paid off and services. I do not have however the receipts. Can I still ask for one? What should I expect?

    Steve

  22. Having spent time with Marty and Mosey at their home in South Texas recently, I want to take this opportunity to Highly Recommend it to everyone.

I was welcomed into their home and, it felt to me, their hearts. The comm between us was open and clean, and I felt comfortable talking about anything with them – in a way that is difficult to explain.

I sometimes asked searching questions and found no defensiveness, no need to be right, no irrational explanations or justifications. All I got was honesty and integrity. One can’t talk like this to most ‘on-lines’ Scientologists.

In the evening we had a tranquil Bar-B-Q sitting by the water-way that runs past the house, and while Marty and I were engrossed in conversation, Mosey grilled a large salmon, cobs of corn, spuds and veg that were simply to die for. The night before I had eaten dinner in a 4 star Hollywood Hotel – it wasn’t a match on what Mosey prepared. And I am just talking about the food. Add in the environment and the comm, and it was other worldly – not 5 stars but Milky Way stars (which we could see clearly).

Marty gave me a short session the next day – it really was only 2 minutes. None of the usual BS with endless creams and powders and shoes and belts off and temperature checks – we just got straight down to business. If my shoes had needed to be taken off he took care of it by blowing them off! In 2 minutes he handled something I’d had my attention on all this lifetime. I am still cogniting – and have done each day since.

I could go on and on…

    Thanks Marty. Thanks Mosey.

  23. Dear Mr. Rathbun,

I had been unaware of your blog until a fellow Scientologist (who shall remain nameless) asked me what I thought about these SP Times articles. To which I had said “what articles”? Then I went and found them via the internet and discovered the link to your blog. As an aside, I do sincerely appreciate that there is no confidential stuff therein – even tho I’ve seen most of it (legitimately), it still offends me when these Looney birds put it out there as it inevitably contains some falsehoods.

I wanted to write because I had an epiphany of sorts. I decided to re-watch your videoed interview and noticed that there was more there than the first time I’d watched it. It was a fascinating addition – or if I’d missed the first time, it was just fascinating. My epiphany was that, while you did blow which is deemed an SP act (even tho it appears to be profoundly understandable), I had been thinking that you may well be an SP as you were publicly attacking Scientology; but you are not attacking Scientology.

I don’t know why it took so long to dawn on me that while the church per se may be in trouble (my observation agrees with your comment about down-trending stats internationally since 1990), I finally noticed that all of your focus (regarding your departing the S.O.) is on publicly attacking DM. At first blush, it felt like you were attacking Scn. But I see you are not. So I’m now sure that you will be included in the General Amnesty that will be declared once the road has been cleared.

It is a shame that you and Tom DeVocht, while still inside, did not resolve to orchestrate your own takeover, or at least the removal of the impediment. God, what a team – you, Tom and Mike. It’s hard to believe that DM could pull off what he pulled off. It is REALLY hard to believe. But since you, Tom et al have left, maybe others will handle it. Aside from an inside revolt (dare I say Mutiny), I don’t see an easy resolution. However, it occurred to me that somewhere along the way, someone may have a valid case that could force DM into court. And IF those reported abuses (Assault & Battery) are proven, then the little guy would go away, be replaced and then we may have a valid shot of getting real expansion once again. Else, assuming he really is off the rails, maybe he will have a cognition (one can postulate). And as a last resort, we can hope someone will act on the ole saying “What would LRH do?”

I sometimes wonder what these OSA terminals (that are allowed to, or rather it’s their job to, review the internet) think when they read this stuff; do they get concerned? Sometimes I get concerned when reading this stuff as I have friends, who I love, some of who have one or more kids in the S.O. and some of them “yearn” to go uplines. With the scenario you paint, that is downright scary.

Your comment about LRH rolling over in his grave, when you saw this palace DM had built for himself and his staff, was so real that I choked. While I know someone is lying in all this, and sometimes it’s hard to believe anyone, I must admit that you come across as very credible. And while you are backed up by all these other video interviews (that you’ve provided links to), the one that most impressed me was the one from the former Int Security Chief, Gary Morehead. Man! The Head of Security usually knows A LOT! And his viewpoint is a totally different viewpoint than yours yet fully supports yours.

I hope, for all our sakes that this pissing fight gets resolved before the church takes any really big, super severe hits. I would love nothing more than to see Scn Missions all over the place, people all buzzing about their wins and doing really well in life. You obviously have found the funding and the web site talent — more power to you Mr. Rathbun — to bring about a successful handling. The TA is moving!

  24. I have a question about all the basic that have been released not too long ago, what’s up with that? Are these new release an alteration of LRH original manuscripts? I hardly believe that LRH missed all those errors while he was alive…

  25. I just watched the videos posted by the St. Pete Times, the new ones. Marty, you go Daddy! It’s sooooooo refreshing to see a male Scientologist with balls. Very Sexy! I hope this is a new trend you are setting in our culture!

  26. From my blog today: Marty..That guy is shaking things up and taking it to the streets! And you know what? That is exactly where Scientology belongs! I don’t care if it gets there through scandal, in these times that is the only way it is going to get there. It doesn’t belong buried in New Mexico. Sorry, that was such a red flag. It belongs in the streets. Tell you what having a little courage will do. Marty has taken over as the spokeperson for the Church. Damn straight. He is the guy everyone on the streets is listening to. Don’t underestimate the streets. The buildings are built on the streets. The streets hold up everything else. Marty is down on the streets and talking Scientology and talking what really is. And people WANT TO KNOW. I’ve only seen a few men taking it on and bringing it to the streets. David Mayo, Ralph Hilton and the original crew he bought with him. Nick Warren and Terrill Park. Pierre. These guys bought it down into the streets again where it belongs. I have watched as certain pople worked their asses off to create friction and build walls between these fabulous men with the right ideas. It’s tough on the streets. But more than anything when I remember this life, I will remember the people that kept Scientology on the streets.

    LRH says:
“The best way to know any future is to cause one. And that’s why, you see, when you start consulting the oracle at Delphi, you’ve taken a step downhill. You have assigned cause for the future elsewhere…

So one predicts the future as much as one is cause. The future isn’t a pattern laid out to abuse and bully you. The future is a beautiful playground that nobody happen to be combining.

You talk about virgin territory – the most virgin territory there is, is the future. You can do anything you want with it.”

    ….HERE!

  28. 1986, a few weeks before death of LRH, I saw his crumbling organization for what it was not to mention his lovely legacy called the Rehabilitation Project Force and paranoid policies on Suppressive Persons. I walk out to be suddenly pariah, labeled as a suppressive person. Upon that, I immediately disconnected in a formal letter to their executives. Who cares what LRH said? I realized who I am and that I came to earth in one piece. I shall exit just as gracefully with no need of any messiah or anything to save me. I simply am “not”.

Ironically, to think of it, I did the cover art for “Way to Happiness” in 1985 and that place was no happy environment. The policies were simply against humanity if you did the math, courtesy of LRH. He was human too.

All is forgiven but please let no one sucker into this parody. If anyone wants to be suckered, then I consider that a lesson to be very well learnt. Scientology was a rite of passage for me and I am all the better in spite of it. I am pleased and now assured the media is strong after Miscavige’s heels.

I am confident that nature is doing its enforcement work. Nature can do no wrong for it is intelligent at its most precise. I am at peace.

  29. Marty,

Have you read Nancy Many’s book? She was an aid to LRH himself. She talks about being assigned to the RPF when she was 5 months pregnant and being locked in the garage at the Ft. Harrison Hotel during the pregnancy. This was ordered by Hubbard. Do these shocking revelations about LRH’s cruelty influence your opinion of him? So far you have only been critical of DM. It is important to highlight the evil of LRH as well.

    • Amy,
I write the truth according to my observations. If Nancy Many thinks LRH wanted her locked up at five months pregnant, Nancy Many has apparently communicated that to the world through her book. Nancy Many’s credibility took a deep dive south with me recently when she accused me of all manner of act and intention based on NO FACT. So, unfortunately I suppose for you, her account of LRH is taken by me with a grain of salt.

  30. That is really too bad Marty. However, your mindset of attacking the credibility of anyone who criticizes LRH or Scientology is right in line with LRH teachings and Scientology policy so I guess I am not surprised. I hope in the future when you have been out longer you will be able to acknowledge some of the nefarious acts of LRH as being true.

    • Amy,
In two short comments you’ve destroyed your own credibility, not with me but with every regular on this blog. You speak in generalities – “anyone who criticizes LRH or Scientology”. I never uttered a single hint of what you alleged I said.

  31. It is better to write our postings more carefully without embellishment. For example, Nancy was NOT locked in a garage as you paraphrased. There are no bars or anything, we are just prisoners by consent. It is only when stakes get higher, for example, a post being indispensible, then the resistance intensifies and it gets harder to leave past the security guards. Anyone can see an opportunity for freedom once barriers become transparent after a good investigation and you treat it as a hurdle to go free at last. Many of us got our chance to leave.
Back to the teachings of LRH, it is now difficult for me to respect his judgement that he would conceive of such Rehabilitation Project Force, which to me is degrading and cruel. Many staff have either succumbed to this program or came close! It is not a genuinely motivating principle and workable to have as policy anywhere except perhaps a gulag in Sibera in some other near forgotten barbarian era. LRH has mistaken us for who we are, when we are actually well meaning and meant to help the advancement of the condition of mankind then. However, we cannot quite brand LRH as evil either. To me it is a vision with many holes, colored by the assumption that the world is generally insane. I don’t see as he does nor do many of you, I can safely assume.

  32. 20 years in Scientology didn’t prepare me for the inval and eval I ran on myself after leaving.
Marty, your website is the first thing I’ve seen since my departure from the Church 13 years ago that has validated what I knew to be true (an SP is at the helm), yet never dared speak publicly. My story is similar to many others I have read here and on other sites: on staff for many years, tremendous gains through the tech, and then a dwindling of the very stuff that made Scientology so inviting in the first place.
Being new to your website, I am only now absorbing the insight and true Scientology contained herein.
Thank you, for this is the first time in a decade that I felt there was some hope for those of us who chose a route outside of the Church. All of the naysayers and natterers can never shake the certainty one experiences through the application of standard tech. As an auditor and former exec, I have seen wins in such great abundance and of such magnitude that there has never been a doubt about what LRH gave us. Those who say otherwise were simply never near an auditor who knew what he was doing.
Again, I thank you. LRH is and will always be ‘The Man’. You are obviously one of those who has duplicated LRH, and who is carrying the torch forward, despite the lightning bolts and fusillades launched in your direction by DM and his unwitting ministers of machinations.
As I sort out my own place in this evolution, I will be looking for how I can contribute to LRH’s true intention beyond the occasional blog. For I know I am truly an OT being who can create great things. But I know that it is a group of OTs who can truly change conditions. And that is what I’ve been postulating for some time.
    Yours,
    A friend and an auditor

  33. A wonderful quote from your messiah:

“The purpose of the suit is to harass and discourage rather than to win. The law can be used very easily to harass, and enough harassment on somebody who is simply on the thin edge anyway, well knowing that he is not authorized, will generally be sufficient to cause his professional decease. If possible, of course, ruin him utterly.” – L. Ron Hubbard, A MANUAL ON THE DISSEMINATION OF MATERIAL, 1955

What a wonderful, kind, and benevolent man! Just out to help mankind!

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  34. Marty,

What’s a good email for you? Could you PM it?

Met you a few times up lines.

  35. Dear Marty,

It is no secret that I have posted comments about you that are less than flattering. Putting that aside for a moment, I wanted to ask you questions, and I seek your answers.

LRH, not DM wrote the policies on Fair Game. LRH, not DM wrote the Flag Orders that resulted in a massive ethics atmosphere that became known as the Sea Org, from 1967 onwards.

How is it that one can view the SO now and claim that DM has created it? I have spoken to those that were on the ship, and if anything, the ethics and penalties to Scientologists and SO members are less now than what they were when LRH was directly running the show on the Ship.

In all good concious, how can you defend LRHs actions?

  36. Marty,
I have left CoS but am not against Scientology. I am trying to make up my mind about that. So I would appreciate your commenting on this one sentence from Aaron’s post: “LRH, not DM wrote the policies on Fair Game.” This is a sincere request, not a bullbait.

    • hohotai – I’ve answered this countless times. Read the blog history.

      • Thanks for the reply and I understand that you are very busy, but I spent about 10 minutes navigating around your site and couldn’t find a reference to ‘fair game’. Could you please provide an instance of where this is discussed.
        Thanks.

    • Hohotai — LRH wrote the original issue in a time when Scientology was under heavy attack from the government. Later LRH canceled the policy along with the policy on disconnection because both were taken out of context and abused. DM reinstated the practice illegally and pushed the abuse to the maximum.

      • Thoughtful – thank you for the reply to my post. Not to keep beating on this, but from what I have gleaned from numerous posts on the Internet, the policy you refer to canceled the use of the term “fair game”, but specifically stated that the policy did not change anything regarding the treatment of SPs. I’m assuming that we are referring to the same issue, HCOPL 21 October 1968. Of course posts on the Internet are not necessarily true information, and perhaps this HCOPL was manufactured by someone attempting to put the CoS in a bad light. A discussion of this issue is found at http://www.xenu.net/fairgame-e.html.

  37. I was on the Apollo with LRH from 1972. At that the ethics penalties were actually quite mild. I understand that there were harsher times earlier.
I would have regular study and auditing at least 90% of the time and completed OT3 2 years after joining the Sea Org having received about 450 hours of auditing including method 1 word clearing, grades and Dianetics.
During that time I never saw anyone strike a junior. From the stories I hear of what DM does there is just no comparison with the way things were under LRH when I was there.

    • Ralph, thanks for this viewpoint which I think is very valuable in putting things into perspective.

    • Ralph — I have a very similar experience. I would say ethics were lax, especially concerning the 2D! And yes, study and auditing were routine. And I never saw LRH strike anyone either. I am sure the others that are around on this blog from those earlier years will confirm these facts. Saxton is a puffer fish — he pumps up his self importance and exhales hot air. All he wants is attention and for people to notice him.

  38. Regarding “Fair Game”:
Does anyone know of a single government on Earth that does not practice “Fair Game”?
George Bush declared Saddam Hussain “Fair game” with the support of the majority of Americans.
LRH became more remote from 1980 onward and the craziness really started back then. Over the years DM carefully manipulated matters to secure his dictatorship.
SP declares under LRH were rare. They were issued for such occurences as blackmailing PCs or infecting one of LRH’s underage messengers with VD after sex with a moroccan prostitute.
Under DM “Fair Game” is a daily occurence. Under LRH it was occasional and connected with real crimes commited by the person.

    • Apparently my observations and questions were not acceptable. There was no harm meant. I am trying to get my thoughts straightened out regarding Scientology independently of the CoS. If this isn’t the right place to do that then I’ll look elsewhere. I’m not sure why what I said and asked would be taken badly, but I apologize if I have offended anyone.

      • Hi hohotai,
If you have not read any books written by L Ron Hubbard you should just do that and then decide for yourself about it. You should be able to check out the basic books from a library.

You should read the books directly yourself and form your own opinion about it the subject.

      • Aaron Saxon’s generalizations are as stupid and ignorant and unfounded as blaming what Al Capone did on the Founding Fathers of American independence.

I’m sorry but if I repeated the word “stupid” 1,000 times, it would still fall short of just how STUPID that conclusion is.

The person responsible for the commission of a crime is the person who committing the crime. That’s why when someone murders someone, we don’t put the parents, teachers, mentors and friends of the murderer in jail instead of the murderer.

This is the kind of explanation I’d expect to do for a three year old. So how is it Aaron Saxon doesn’t get it?

Who’s responsible for WWII. Adolf Hitler or his mother and father? Or maybe his uncle? Or his old teacher?

How many criminals have murdered people because “God told him to” or because he “read it in the Bible”? Do we pass the buck of accountability to “God” or the “Bible”? No. We put the murderer in jail because HE no someone else is accountable for his own crimes.

  39. Marty,

First I want you to know that I am all for your coming out and communicating directly to the 3rd dynamic your experiences in the church of scientology and regarding David Miscavige. I think it took alot of courage on your part and Mike Rinder’s to do so. Your making use of freedom of speach on this blog is comendable. I did the same thing in 2003 and it was very hard to do. What conserns me is when a valid question is put to you on your blog, that question didn’t see the light of day on your blog.

Is it right to use freedom of speach to communicate your viewpoint in this universe but censor it in others? What I put to you was a question. Deletion of etheta or an attack on your blog on your part is understandable but how can a question be entheta or an attack requiring deletion on your part? I will repeat the question if you will so allow.

    Tim

  40. Marty,

My question was supposed to appear under your document “45 Days In The Hole – final purges part 4″ but for some reason never did.

Since I started speaking out against the church in 03, OSA has made it a habit to forge my posting name all over the Internet in order to confuse people. They do this with the goal of discrediting me as a critic of the church. I have in the past posted under “Truth Seeker” ( 2 words ) but apparently they have already started forging my posting name on your blog under the name of “TruthSeeker ( one word ).

Aside from OSA’s normally activities on the Internet, the question I wanted to ask you was this: As I’m sure you will agree, LRH knew as much about how a thetan operates in this universe and how the mind worked as anyone, if David Miscavige is a social-path and/or an SP, as his reported behavior would suggest, why didn’t LRH ( and others ) identify him for what he really was, long ago? Didn’t LRH know an SP and a social-path when he met one?

How did LRH and others miss this guy years ago?

    • Tim, asked and answered innumerable times on this blog – please look it up.

      • Marty, Since your blog has grown considerbly since you first created it, for me and others interested in the answer to the above question, could you please direct me to which document contains the answer to that question?

        Thank you.

        Tim

  41. Tim,
What Marty probably means is that you could find alot of answers on this site with a simple keyword: DAVID MISCAVIGE I found this link in search within for your convenience.
    https://markrathbun.wordpress.com/category/miscavige-crimes/
    Charles

    • The question was more along the lines of how LRH and those around him didn’t see David Miscavige the way we see him today and deal with him years ago. Which includes Marty. It wasn’t about what were David Miscavige’s crimes.

From my experience with reading and listening to what Marty says, DM’s is the subject matter alot, I seriously doubt searching on “David Miscavige” on this blog would narrow anything down.

I’ve gone to the matt for Marty Rathbun on other webs sites ( ESMB under the name of “Flash Gordon” ) and I feel I deserve an answer from him or at least for him to direct me specifically to where he did answer it in the past.

I spent alot of time and energy defending Mr. Rathbun in the past and I feel that I deserve more than a blow off ARC breaky answer, an answer that really wasn’t one.

If Marty thinks he can win this battle all by himself, he is welcome to try.

  42. The simple answer is that LRH wasn’t perfect – he said that himself. LRH was an incredible genius and he had his blind spots as do we all.
From my observation LRH was not very good at selecting the right person sometimes. He created an incredible technology of the mind and found himself in the position of having to write up hats for every position on the org board.
He quite simply made a costly mistake with DM.

  43. Tim – several years ago when I was posting on the internet I used PGP and created a verifiable signature on all of my posts. It was totally uncrackable and OSA didn’t even bother trying.
I don’t need to do it anymore as OSA know that they can’t piss about with me. They sent an agent to my home and she went to the local tax authority with lies. I met with them and, after clearing up the lack of tax offences, the tax officer explained to me that I should be careful as someone did not like me. I explained that the Church of Scientology was behind the attacks and he smiled.

  44. whee – i scrolled up a bit – Nancy Many was an LRH aide? In her post title, yes. I don’t think she even met him.

  45. Hi there Martie, I’m sure you remember me. This is Bobbie Kitchens, I was declared 3 years ago in fact my Comm eve was on February 12th 2006, I was declared because I noticed an out point with the death of LRH. Intuitively I feel Dr. Denk and DM had something to do with it. I heard from Sinar parman , who was his personal cook, that LRH was sick and wanted to go. I believe DM with the help of Dr, Denk helped that along. I also recalled my most recent past life , where I got auditing in the beginning stages of research, in 1948-1949, He was a member of the OTO and so was I I knew him personally , we worked on ceremonies and rituals regarding the OTO. I told one of the biographers about this. It was a few months after I started talking about this, I confided in Rick factou who was working with OSA. he begged me to not look further into LRH’s death. I refused. He evidentially wrote a report to OSA and the rest is history. I’ve know for a long time that something was wrong with the OT levels. I did OT 5 and it was great that was 1989, after that the auditing went all to hell, The gains were few. After I got declared I went through some huge losses, I sought out other practices to handle the BPC. I found EFT, to be a fabulous technique originally discovered by an x Scientologists I hear. I have not done that much research on the originator. EFT means emotional freedom technique. I also discovered a number of other techniques that work quite well in handling upsets , PBC, etc. I have since felt that if LRH was still alive he may have explored some of these areas. For 30 years I was a purist in the tech. I never strayed from the path, I also had the belief that Scientology was the only thing that would secure my eternity. I have since discovered that That idea is an illusion. LRH was a master Hypnotists, he used many methods to induce a suggestible state in his promotion, as well as his events that are all designed to create a high suggestibility in the viewers. I know this for sure, I have made a decision to study Hypnotherapy. I’m going to a special accredited college for this. I have discovered that many of the data LRH gave us about Hypnotism was a lie. Also since 1979 Dr Kappa made great strides in the tech of Hypnotism. I have felt that many of the missing pieces to the puzzle of the mind and therapy have been answered through what I’m now learning. I really don’t wish to be a target of a psychotic Cult, so I’m not going the route of the Indy s. It seems to be a bit of a paranoia among that members , I was in fact mistaken for someone working for OSA, This is so ridiculous, and laughable, I’M NOT AT ALL INTERESTED IN AUDITING IN THE FIELD under the freezone or any independent group, unfortunately OAS has such evil intentions that it is frankly a risk I don;t wish to participate in, When I get my license as a therapist, I may incorporate some of the tech if that is what is needed on an individual bases. I intend to specialize in Past life regression, marriage and relationship counseling, I was a class 4 interned auditor and a marriage councilor, when I was in the C of S. In my experience I have discovered some tech that is far more comprehensive in releasing and erasing PBC and engramic content in one’s mind. One technique is called Theta healing. Of course EFT, touch for health. Meditation is great in fact I discovered that Zen Buddhist meditation is the done the same way as we did on OT TR O. I have been practicing Zen buddhist meditation for 3 years.
Any way I just wanted to say high and just say I wish you all the luck in pursuing your bridge, however, don’t fall for the illusion that scientology is the only way for your eternity, Even LRH said there were other ways. He just happened to think his way was the best. That may not be true either. I have to say that auditing works most the time. I got allot of gains, but I have gotten some even better gains with these other methods. You might say I’m definitely happily open minded and free now.

  46. Tim,
I think I have an answer for you about how DM got past LRH. I don’t have all the details at hand, but in the early 80′s when DM and Pat and Annie Broeker were LRH’s only comm lines to the outside world, LRH ordered a sec check on DM. I don’t know who did the sec check but the order went via Jesse Prince.

The report of the results of the sec check went to Pat Broeker and for some reason never made it to LRH. Pat and DM were friends at the time. This may have some bearing on your question.

    wcoastt

    • Can anyone else substantiate what he’s saying here?

Please don’t tell me we are having all these problems because of a sec check.

  47. Scientology has to do with the theta universe – act like it!!

  48. I suspect there are a couple of posters on this site who are pretending and are really OSA personnel. My only advice to you who are from OSA is:

Look for yourself and think for yourself. Have you once looked for yourself to see if the data given to you from DM is truth or per LRH? Are you going through life with blinders on, or following orders blindly without checking them against LRH policy yourself?

Are you free to take a walk when you want, visit family when you want, have your own opinions, voice outnesses when you see it without being hit?

I urge you to really look and see if you feel free and acting in accordance with your own moral codes.

I am only genuinely concerned for your well being. If you have truthfully already looked for yourself and honestly feel you are doing the correct and ethical thing for you my hat is off to you. If not… well… the decision is yours.

It’s easy to get caught up in “war” or a “battle” and get into the excitement of it all, caught in the thrill of “winning”. Sometimes though the so called “win” is only a veil that covers the devastating loss you have really experienced as a being.

Have you ever witnessed a group of children ganging up on one child and saying hurtful things to him and unwittingly joined in just because it looked like the gang was winning only to find out later that the child being attacked was innocent and a person of goodwill? This happened to me when I was a kid. I felt bad about what we had done so I searched out the little girl I helped attack and saw for myself that she was a person of goodwill. I appologized and we became to this day life long friends. The leader of the gang? In prison for rape and murder. This cured me of attacking someone I dont really know or not looking at the person myself first to see if I should be attacking or not.

Please, examine what you are doing for yourself and ensure that your current job and activity is in alignment with what you as a spirit hoped to achieve with Scientology. If you find you have made a mistake act immediately to remedy it regardless of what anyone else is doing.

    That’s all.

  49. Tim H.,
I have read extensively about the circumstances surrounding LRH’s last few years both in Creston and elsewhere. There’s a lot of info out there.

I’m not writing this to defend my statements. Do your own research and come to your own conclusions.

  50. how do i get me some?
i was about 12 years in the SO, and bridge progress was quad grades and a couple of FPRD forms.
i didnt know why but i wanted to attest to the 3D form when i wanted to leave the SO. now 10 years later i understand why!!
i am very active in the truth and liberty movement.
i also have a plan for winning this war
    someone contact me please

  51. Just one last question:

Who’s responsible for David Miscavige taking over the church of scientology and running things off the rails as he’s done?

  52. I’m advocating RESPONSIBILTY, but it’s not a very popular subject.

Somebody or some people are responsible for this mess, I just thought the responsible party or parties should be taken steps to clean up the mess.

Other than David Miscavige, who else is reponsible for this situation?

David Miscavige is responsible for 80% of this situation but who are the rest that are responsible for the other 20%?

David Miscavige had help in getting power in others not taking steps to stop him and had help in having his orders carried out in the last 20 years when he did get to power.

    • martyrathbun09

Tim, I probably own as much responsibility as anyone.

      • Marty,

I’m just upset about the situation. As an enlightened being who’s knows what going on, you must know that the situation we are dealing with is very, very serious. I still can not believe that with all that LRH accomplished before he left and all that he taught in his books and lectures that this could happen.

I know that you and Mike are doing the right thing right now and are taking responsibility. I was just upset because I’m not seeing any indications that some of the top executives from the past when LRH was around and in the last 20 years helping you and Mike to get things back to right.

If all the executives past and present joined you, just think of how much faster we could get things put to right.

  53. If you are looking for perfect you won’t find it.
LRH was not a perfect man, Scientology is not a perfect religion, those in it are not perfect, it is not a perfect world. How boring it would be if it was.
The important point is that LRH came up with the best answers to all those unanswerable questions. His tech works. What the hell else could one ask for? Give it a rest about unimportant details. The only important point at this time is what do we do to ensure LRH’s dream isn’t blown to dust by an SP and his minions? It was honestly and sincerely my dream, too. It matters to me and I think it matters to a lot of others. I know what I would like to do, but it is not really the best solution. I am open to sensible, workable and doable ideas.

    • largo paris'69

      Galactic progress for mankind is based upon;
      sound(ethical)business
      excellent science
      and marvellous art
the corruption of one of these on the triangle
      devours the integrityof all three.
      largo paris ’69

  54. Yes, let’s abolish the rehabilitation project force, the demoralizing beans rice diet, the pts suppressive persons policies for they are the worst of the worst conceivable policies any human could have created. We need the ability to impeach any corrupt executive division and more sane checks and balances systems of a compassionate kind. We need to realize the tech is not god and therefore having to be clandestinal. The law of attraction is lacking and so is the quality of openness for it has gone secretive and untrustingly paranoid for so long, longer than that first day I innocently walked in.

  55. Let me get this straight: you quit because someone beat the shit out you? Man,
I never heard no Marine tell a potential recruit don’t join because they beat shit out of you. I look at that little 58 year old weirdo who whined he couldn’t leave because well he’s 58, no money, no friends. My gawd, didn’t Scn. teach y’all ANYTHING? He ended up doing that very thing, leaving even though he’s 58, no money, no friends. So there’s what – 200 of you? 200 vs. the plight of the whole planet. Where I work everyday damn hour CNN is on. I get to see the horrible things on the planet nonstop, And now guess what, you’re there too. Now I get to watch you justifying all over the damn place. What did Ron say? He said we aren’t perfect but at least we’re doing something about it. What does he say about justification, which is what I read all over this blog. He would not say yeah marty when it gets too tough, run, oh and don’t forget to tell everybody. You took the fate of the whole planet into your little hands all because somebody beat the shit out of you and messed with your bridge. People will sympathize with you because they have their heads buried in the sand as far as what is really happening on this planet. I work with hardened criminals everyday and I have seen some of them turn around 360 when they learn ethics tech. They know nothing about OT levels. Thanks a lot. I wish I could be the fly on the wall when your thetan ass is sitting on some far off weirdo planet wondering wtf happened. It would be funny except my thetan ass is probably going to be doing the same thing.

    • I just don’t get this board. 18withabullet posted this provocative piece about a week ago. I expected some responses – some for, some against. Instead there is silence. It has a creepy similarity to being in some regging events where things were happening that should not be, but nobody had the courage to speak up and say what was on their minds. Do people agree with 18? Disagree? Have another opinion about Jeff’s interview? Why the silence?

      • 18 and ho…
        “Why the silence?”
Some things are not worth answering because they were not intended to be part of a communication cycle in the first place, they are commonly known as “comments” or opinions. If you have a comment or an opinion then state it if you’d like. Doesn’t mean someone must answer it. Seemed to bother you though so I thought I would explain “why the silence”.
        Ceileen

    • This IS some far off weirdo planet.

    • you do realize that turning around 360 degrees brings you to exactly the same place? not a good advertisement for “ethics tech”

  56. I’ll be upfront and state that while I find the recent SCN revelations fascinating, disheartening and encouraging simulatenously, its made me more skeptical than ever.

Perhaps if there are any nuggets of truth to SCN, then a purging is in order before they can be gleaned. I wish you the best in this endeavour, truly I do.

I find it remakable that many of those who’ve left the Church continue to espouse the teachings of LRH…Surely, now that you can all search the internet freely and learn more of the works and life of LRH..I would have thought that it would have become difficult if not impossible to follow him further. Admittdely there is much I don’t know myself..good and bad.

Anyway..continued success with your fight against evil.

  57. Everyone concerned has the right to approach anything and learn from that experience, and this includes allowance for each individual’s personal learning curve which is going to be widely different among everyone.

This also means the right to put the writings of LRH to the acid test. The organization erroneously or inentionally assumes that we will never bother to give any acid test.

Some of the harshest policies are meeting great resistance in class action, such as the fair game policy, the SP policy and the Rehabilitation Project Force, not to mention the RPF’s RPF. In actuality, they turn out to be criminal within the legal context. It is just inhumane.

Most of us had to find this out unfortunately much later when it becomes very real in our work environment. What was something one reads in a hat pack only begins to soberly gain weight as one experiences that harsh policy hitting home. Then it really smarts. Many suffer sooner or later, often not realizing how they got hit so suddenly. This is especially when impersonal policies are considered to be”god” above the group at the expense of the individual. No one was even permitted to question the policy’s merit and that is the danger of enacting such policies within a fundamentalist society, thus undermining the rights of the individual.

Some of us are waiting for the fundamentalists to also wake up to that fact and join the ranks of enlightened society. To be enlightened means to wake up and realize the fatal flaws and setbacks of blind obedience! Every theory and finding deserves the acid test on your part. It is your life, your family’s life, your community’s life, etc.. Each one of us wakes up each day to this sobering truth. Allow your fellowpersons this chance at personal discovery and forgive as others have also forgiven you for your errors.

  58. Dear Mark!
I invite you to post your current success stories on the http://community.freezone-tech.info/success/ website. The purpose of that website is to show that:
    * Tech is available in Present Time,
    * Practitioners are active in PT,
    * Practitioners are successful and reachable in PT

Success Story posted should link to auditor’s website or e-mail.
Please, write me if you are interested. It will help us all to KSW.
    Respect,
    Tatiana.

  59. *** — You are not alone with the observations you’ve made. — ***

A great source for De-PTSing the D of M scene for me was Class XII Pierre Ethier’s Webpage. I swear he put that up for just that reason and it felt like I got an intensive worth of auditing out of it.

Very peculiar, but right after that, my stats which were on a long-term Emergency/Normal trend went into a Normal/Affluence trend and have stayed there ever since. I noticed a sudden increase of old clients calling back I haven’t heard from in decades.

  60. I left the Sea Org on my birthday in December 1985. Why? I wanted the planet to be a better place. That is what we came here for in the first place! Now I realize how powerful our benevolent friends are. With our improved communications infrastructure, the internet, friends have been reunited through many forums, particularly, facebook among them. The end phenomena is not necessarily the end, but I wanted to share what Osho said which I read this morning: One of the greatest achievements of Buddha is that one is no longer “following”. I also wish to share a link that I found this evening on the power of the positive, in short, just dwelling upon harmony as the desired outcome. We don’t have to always follow the shadow; we can shine brighter as we have and observe how well we can evolve through the realm of THOUGHT! http://educate-yourself.org/cn/greywolffeelingforms15mar06.shtml
Let’s wash our hands every so often and push the good stuff that deserves our attention and it will grow.
    Here’s to our friendship!

  61. help please. I have a nice lady near Petersburg, Kentucky who is working her way through DMSMH – a pre’72 edition, on the second part of it now. She will need to get into contact with a (free) Scn person or group near her. She’s awfully keen to be audited. Let me know at bill.holly@web.de?
    Not here on the blog.

  62. “The truth,
    no matter how fought,
    always in the end prevails”
    - LRH
How many have thought to go onto the Eighth Dynamic and study that? Scn doesn’t cover that, as LRH said it shouldn’t.
LRH also said we should each become so well developed as to not need even Scn and then be able to leave.
There is a spiritual law which agrees with
“what you resist you get”, so I stopped ‘resisting’ what’s going on with DM, RTC, etc.
Most in-ethics ex-Scns I see/hear on these bloggs, ZenuTV etc. who have studied standardly and had standard tech applied to them in auditing speaks clearly, appear able to communicate well, use words well, and get their point across.
Isn’t that exactly a big basic of what LRH wanted us each to achieve?
I offer that everybody should understand that overts and with-holds are never gotten-away with: they cannot be hidden once a Person/Soul/Thetan/Being starts into the Eigth Dynamic.
Here Cause & Effect or The Law of Returns comes truly into play…and every single thing is paid in true coin in some future existence.
We need only concern ourselves initially with understanding ourself, truly; then we can perhaps start to understand the Divine; and then we can really start serving others.
Things that have helped me are learning Discrimination, Humility, Contentment, Tolerance, Detachment. As I have learned these I have first accepted and then released the angers and frustrations, the unachieved dreams.
You each are the best you have ever been, right today, this minute. You are the most experienced you have ever been, even compared to last year, last week. If greater understanding is now yours, with practice it may be turned to wisdom. You are a spiritual being, lovely, whole, having a rough ride maybe down here on planet earth, but at the end of it all, some say, we are here to learn to serve others and the Divine, whatever you consider that to be.
Incidentally LRH didn’t go to Target 2 – that was his big subterfuge..but do you think he is bothered about what’s going on with Scn malpractice? Nope; he’s onto new stuff. He left his legacy, his gift to us all. A lot of good folk are keeping it going against stiff odds…”only the tigers survive, and even they have a hard time of it !”
    Isn’t LRH’s wisdom just great??

  63. Four glorious days filled with the power and truth of LRH’s technology. Four days of inspiring conversation on a rainbow of subjects – the transfer and duplication of ideas — communication – which was carried into the auditing room. This is what I experienced at Casablanca with Marty and Mosey. After twenty five years as public, after years on VII, those four days were Scientology. Wins? Many. Understanding? Much. We have all said that LRH is our friend. Marty is our friend too. Go there.

    • Wonderful Miguelito. Great that you were able to experience the peace, camaraderie and standard tech that Casablanca Tejas has to offer. I know no saner place on this earth. Very glad to have you aboard.

    • Miguelito,
It was our pleasure having you here. You are always welcomed here! Looking forward to your next visit. Next time…… I take you fishing ;-)
      Love Mosey

  64. Hi Mark, my name is Pedro Di Palma. I was in the So in 95-96 in flag working in security when I was assigned to watch 24 hours a class 12 auditor with the name of Peter (I am not sure of his name) very skinny and bold. all I knew is that he had messed up bad and was under disciplinary action by RTC and one day I had to take him into an empty room in the hacienda where you were waiting and you yelled at him, insulted him including directed some comments towards me as if I was involved too, I think I was 18 or 19 years old and was completely lost. This event affected me a lot. I then left the Sea Org in less than a year after since I was already unhappy and had never really finished an EPF and had a pain in my ankle that was never able to solve with auditing or processing. The purpose of my email is that I need you to explain to me what was that all all about? what did this guy do? and why were you treating him that way. I really hope you can remember this event and can help me clear this out since this shocked me as this was the first time I interacted with such a high ranking figure in the Sea Org only to get yelled at for no idea.

Hope to hear from you soon.

    Regards, Pedro

  65. I’m writing a dissertation on this blog and others like it. I’m looking forward to researching your work and publishing it.

  66. I would like to publish my declaration of independence on your blog. My name is Bo Simonsson and I have been in scientology for 33 years. I live in Sweden. Please tell tell what I need to do to and I will send you my story for publishing. I already published my story on a Swedish blog and also sent it to the Stockholm org.

    Best regards

    Bo Simonsson

  67. Dear Marty,
I must say that your site has really made a difference for me. I have not officially “come out” yet, but I am currently in the process of navigating the minefield that is presented to any Scientologist that embarks upon this path. (Any advice regarding this would be appreciated.)
I do have a specific question for you…. The DSA of my org told me that you are auditing without being trained as an auditor. Obviously, that can’t be true. However, I haven’t noticed on your website any mention of your credentials. Could you please clarify?

    • Then why did the highest “ecclesiastical” office of the church, David Miscavige, have me auditing Tom Cruise through several intensives of OT preps, and the entire NOTs program?

      • I don’t know. I would love to know the answer to that. It’s very strange to me that it’s such a mystery what the training and case level is of those who lead the Church. In regular orgs (even Flag) it’s written right on the org board for everyone to see. However, for upper management, it’s as if there’s some other Bridge, or that it doesn’t apply somehow. Is this something that you can shed some light on?

  68. Hi Marty: Thanks for your site. I am out of the Church of Slappy McSavage but am a bit confused about LRH and his credibility about the things he had done and accomplished. For example, The biographer for the Church of Scientology has made some claims to LRH’s Navy career. I have found proof posted on the internet from the US Navy’s actual reports as to his involvement. It is different from what the LRH Biographer has stated. Have you seen any of this and what are your thoughts? JUST WANT THE TRUTH! Thanks.

  69. Marty: Thank you for your site and helping people. I admire your courage and strength to get out of the Church of Scientology. I am also out and found the Church to be using “covert invalidation” as their social intercourse. It became absolutely insane to do what was required. I see people losing their minds and sanity, not to mention homes and stability. It is a sad state of affairs and I could no longer breath life into this destructive organization – destroying people in the name of HELP. I have been doing my own homework now and just want the truth. I know David Miscavaige is a total psychotic leader of the group. It is not hard to detect by the shape of the staff and Sea Org members. I am investigating LRH and just want the truth. Did you find it necessary to investigate LRH for yourself? I never knew him even though I was in when he was alive. I have such a fond memory of what I have been told he had done but I am starting to look for myself. I found information on the internet that discounts the claims of his Navy career. This is upsetting to me. I would respect your thoughts about this. Thank you. You are a good person to do what you are doing!

    • It is ignorant to base one’s judgement of Scientology on whether or not LRH was perfect. The sole determining factor of Scientology is it’s workability, like anything else. It’s right in the Logics if you care to read them and actually understand what Scientology is about. There is plus and minus, good and bad, pros and cons in everything and in everyone. If you bothered to study LRH’s body of work concerning Goals Problems Masses — the black masses of the reactive mind — you will learn LRH said people (everyone) have about 50% good goals and 50% bad ones. You can run the False Purpose Rundown on every person in the universe and you will never find someone without an evil purpose.

That is only the nature of the universe. Only in theetie-weetie fairy tales are there “perfect beings” who never do anything wrong. I mean, this is painful to even have to explain this because it should be obvious.

The “LRH Biographer” is a man who takes pleasure in making others wrong by stringing together such complex constructions of grammar that they don’t make any sense. He’s a 1.1 creep. His idol and love boss — David Miscavige — is easily the most evil person in Scientology history. Just take everything they ever said about LRH and wipe it down with toilet paper and flush it down the commode where it belongs. All those stories about how perfect LRH was hasn’t a thing to do with the validity of the tech.

And where did you see such tripe? At an “Int event” — an event which is in itself completely and utterly squirrel. LRH forbid any more “Int events” in 1978 after he tried one and found it depressed production by stat because it took everyone off post. You’ve never seen the CBO LRH wrote about that because it has been suppressed by DM while crowing about “keeping the tech pure.” That was the same year LRH cancelled disconnection in RJ-68 which you can listen to online.

LRH was a great man. He created auditing and so much more. You want to judge something, LOOK TO LRH TECH. Read the Logics. Read the Axioms. Read the Q’s. Apply the tech to someone and see if it works.

What do you want — WORKABLE TECHNOLOGY or do you just want a fairy tale to lull yourself to sleep with visions about how loving and pure LRH was?

You really “find it necessary to investigate LRH?” Do you find it necessary to investigate Steve Jobs before you buy an iPhone?

I’m positive the answer to that question is a resounding YES because what use would an iPhone be if Steve Jobs wasn’t prefect?

Most of the internet is polarized if you hadn’t noticed — Scientology and LRH are either ALL good or ALL bad. As Marty has said, the truth is in the middle and he’s right.

Moreover, Scientology is not about LRH. It’s about helping others with the tech, putting in order and improving conditions in life.

Stop being bamboozled because David Miscavige fed you lies about LRH.

      • Thanks for your reply. Duly noted. I am just a little suspicious of everything that the Organization says about LRH. I saw a letter from the United States Navy that did not match what I had learned about LRH and I feel if that is the truth, it should be known. There is need to lie and embellish LRH’s history. I realize people are flawed and not perfect but it adds to Scientology’s problems by not telling the whole truth – just not necessary, IMHO! I wanted to know others thoughts and I do
appreciate you sharing yours with me.

  70. Personally, I don’t know about the Naval record. Here is what I do know. As the Scriptwriting I/C at the Int base and in charge of writing all the LRH’s “Public Scientology Motion Picture Series” treatments into scripts… one of the scripts was a biographical film about LRH. So as part of my research for the project, Andy Lenarchic (have no idea how to spell his name) provided me with a copy of Danny Sherman’s LRH biography manuscript. It was several hundred pages long. I read the whole thing. LRH was no saint and there are some things LRH did that are hard to white wash.

But one day around that time period, and you have to realize I was friends with Andy. He was in charge of the Bio project and as such he was Danny Sherman’s handler. Andy did tons of research interviewing people and documenting all aspects of LRH’s life. One day I happened to be in Andy’s office on a day when he was elated. He was excited because he had just discovered that LRH had TWO naval records. One was apparently his real record and involved his work in naval intelligence. The other record was a fake one put there as his cover. I didn’t know anything about LRH’s Naval records one way or the other, so he had no reason to tell me any of this. I had never heard of any controversy about LRH’s naval record. Time period was likely about 2001. Andy told me — there was no one else in the room and this was off the record, in other words, he was confiding in a fellow writer, not doing a “handling” on me. He said that it had been a problem for years because in various lectures LRH said he did a bunch of things that were not supported by his Naval record. Andy told me for years he was like WTF? It was a problem. And finally that day he discovered through FOIA requests (I believe) the second secret record which was LRH’s real Naval record. That’s all I know. Was it true? Andy had no reason to lie to me that I knew of.

Later, after DM found out that Andy had let me read the Bio he was furious and Andy was taken off post for a time and sec checked. I asked Andy why and he said DM said “LRH’s life was no one’s business.” It was my assigned hat to write a biographical film on his life. At the time I didn’t understand what DM was trying to hide. Now I think I know. Since DM throws LRH under a bus at the drop of a hat, he surely wasn’t trying to protect LRH — that is for sure. So what DM was trying to hide is this: that he had been lying to everyone about LRH from the start, making up embroidered stories about LRH and presenting a picture that was majorly exaggerated and unreal. Why would DM do this? Oh, I don’t know. Maybe because he is a sociopath and lies about everything under the sun to everyone.

So LRH’s Naval record — I’d hold off on your judgement on that. DM was a total liar, but I never knew Andy to lie to me.

However, all that said, the only valid basis for evaluating the tech is it’s workability. If it helps people and it improves their condition, then it is valid. Regardless of the Naval record, etc., etc. You seem to understand all this by now.

  71. hello, How may I contact you to ask you a Q about leaving the C of S?

  72. a truism in not only scn, but in the world as a whole: Nothing is true for you unless it is observed. I have observed CoS being iffy…. by iffy, I mean the fact that they harass critics rather than ignore and prove them wrong, they tend to become exceedingly aggressive when they are confronted or even perceive a passing hint of criticism, and they stalk known critics….. I mean, aren’t there laws against this, “religious freedom” notwithstanding?

It is said in the tech that one who criticises Scn has crimes. The Scientologist’s job is to find these crimes and bring them to the surface… and the tech isn’t overly specific on how to accomplish this, but for guidelines on how to do it, Many Scientologists refer to “Fair Game Policy” which is in fact NOT repealed, but indeed very much instated. This aggressive policy states that any critic of scientology may be harassed, assaulted, stolen from, lied to, slandered, or terminated. It is “officially” repealed because word of the policy leaked out and it was a PR nightmare for the Church, but it is still taught and used unofficially, as evidenced in how Scientologists and OSA stalk known or suspected critics or hire private investigators to dig up dirt on them…. because to be a critic of Scn, you must be a criminal.

In all honesty, i find it quite asinine and it only shows a dark side of an allegedly helpful organisation… and all religions have a dark side to them, yet this one’s dark side is potentially dangerous. It reminds me a bit of a Mob organisation… Jimmy Hoffa, anyone? (moar like Lisa McPherson, amiright?)

Now, as for the tech itself; there are fragments of Scn that are true and are effective, indicating he was on to something indeed and was beginning to go the right track… but at the end of the day, Ron went about it all wrong. What is true that Scn teaches is that you ARE a spiritual being, that you have lived and will continue to live many many many lifetimes, and reincarnation is not restricted to earth, but in fact anyone could have been living lives on any number of habitable planets with intelligent life in either this galaxy or possibly any other out there. Thus, most Sci-Fi and Fantasy is in fact inspired by ACTUAL events in the writer’s past lives. You might just feel a sense of familiarity when you read, watch or in any way expose yourself to Sci-fi or fantasy productions. it just “Resonates” with you inside

When Ron talks about his past lives, he knows that this is exactly what they are. Most of the time, we don’t realise this until we become enlightened to the truth of the matter..Now, Ron has been a Marcabian NUMEROUS times and was a big time racer. However, he only revealed so much about them… furthermore, he only recalls a certain unfortunate era of their history. They currently are back to tradition. What Ron Recalls is a corporatocratic era, where the traditional government and way of life was nearly extinct and corporations, collectively, ruled the 12 colonies. I lived two lives there at least form what I can recall…. one in the corporate era and another in the restored traditional era (the latter being more recent). There were others Ron failed to mention, maybe because he either didn’t recall or because he was never there… which would be interesting if he was an older soul.

  73. I don’t even know what you remotely said in the original post. Does anyone in Scientology have a real job they are able to keep? It sounds like it is a full time job of psychoanalyzing people using non-invasive electrophysiology equipment or something. And why is it so expensive? Most churches donate to charity or have charitable arms, I have never hear of scientology being philanthropic. I am SO confused as to what all of this is, though I was intrigued to find out that 200 scientology books were dropped off at my mother in law’s school in eastern KY a few years ago. I told her it was illegal (per separation of church and state), but the people who dropped them off didn’t let her know they were from a religious organization (using that term VERY loosly) and were very “creepy” (her word not mine) and urged them to provide to classrooms to learn about science.

    • Don’t kid yourself about “most churches” darling, religion is a racket. Most churches? Look at the Vatican. Christianity seems legit because how old it is. But the fact is churches rake in cash, build mega churches while their pastors don Armani and sleep with hookers, while people starve to death world wide. Priests molest children, the Vatican covers for them and attacks nuns publicly for their political views. Free YOUR mind lady.

  74. Unfortunately, ability, power…go up, only if RESPONSABILITY goes up. You have no chance guys…no opportunuty. Haha!!!

  75. I was in the Church of Scientology for a few years. I left because I never saw anyone be “like” the ads promoted. I met “clears” but they really did not impress me. Most of them were broke and not doing well. The OT’s I had met seemed really angry, not talkative and did not come around much. I was told by staff – “you don’t know where they started”. That sort of made sense until I watched a few go up the bridge and check out of reality with the world. I am not convinced that it works because I have yet to see one person who really benefits from this long enough to justify the cost. I am not sure what the rest of the folks here see – but I don’t get it.

    • Hey. Drop me a line. I can’t say you will get it. I can only hope you get what we communicate.

Contact info posted at the bottom of this: possiblyhelpfuladvice.com/?p=1409

  76. Speaking of communication, watched the Mod videos where Marty Rathbun and Mike Rinder talk about the Travolta movie, kidnapping, copper and media. Watched it with two other people. And then I asked them if they thought you two were believable and there reply was “absolutely, the interaction between the two of them show s the truth of what they are saying”.

OKAY, having said that – you have to do more videos like this with Rinder – the two of you compliment each other – the stories are unforgettable and jaw dropping and my friends were riveted. Unless you have made more and I am not finding them.

There is utter shock and laughter and disbelief at the narcissistic sociopath Miscavige and I know, know, they will not forget them. So, if you are not totally swamped and I know you are both busy and have lives, you have to do more videos. I have been researching this stuff for some three weeks now, constantly – because it is all so shocking and the best of the best out there are the interviews with you and Mike Rinder, Beghe is great also.

Anyway, just thought I would ask.

    • I would love to see new Marty & Mike viedeos, too.
They helped me to help my friends to see the current scene.
And you’re right – “the interaction between the two of them show s the truth of what they are saying”.
      And they’re fun to watch.

You will find more of them here:
      http://www.youtube.com/user/sthtexlensman

  77. Just finished watching that gnome on youtube being lauded by two people; one who spoke Spanish and another Russian I believe it was Russian or some Middle European language; anyway, Miscavige who is definitely NOT taller than 5’4″ – absolutely not – TRanslates WHAT THEY said about him – THEREBY giving the impression that he speaks Spanish and Russian. I can just see him in the conference room with the speech writers in between whacks – correcting both speeches.

The hits just keep on comin!

  78. I’ve been reading this website and blog for days, now. I became a Scientologist in 1971. Even though I stopped getting trained and audited years later, I always knew it was a remarkable and profoundly effective technology, and that I could always get back into that auditing room if the going got tough. Through the years, I have defended Scientology like a bulldog, and will continue to–the tech, that is.

What I cannot understand, reading these posts and blogs, is WHY don’t the people around DM “handle” the situation?? I’m sorry, but when a philosophy/tech/religion/science, of this magnitude is reduced, via $100,000 Tom Cruise van re-dos and preposterous buildings and furnishings, to what is now, essentially, a joke, doesn’t anyone close up feel humiliated enough to tackle the obvious? Get the guy out. Take him to Hemet and drop him off. Get someone in there who gets it, whose ego isn’t the size of the planet Jupiter, who isn’t fixated on ridiculous celebrities and expensive shoes, and who doesn’t imprison and torture people. Someone who has the back of those incredible people who want to learn and help humanity. The auditors, of course. Support and enable. Make new ones. Get results. Close down the Celebrity Center.

    I am appalled.

  79. Hi, sorry for my bad english that’s not my first language. I’m scientologist since 20 years and ex sea org member. I just want to tell you I get the certitude Miscavige is a SP. I understand now why I never like him. I’m happy because I can see the future: Miscavige is finished.

  80. Graham billington

Iam a scientologist, and have been doing my own analysis of DM, ex execs, my own experiences and wins. And too be honest ive blown mass and feel like the curtains been pulled back. i love Scientology and respect it orgs, but I am stunned to feel my ta float when i start looking at what potentially could be really going on. Ill probably be declared for writing this, but i will make up my own kind about things thanks.

  81. I’m not a Scientologist, but I have read Marty’s blog for the last couple of months and I find the subject fascinating as well as a little frightening. I was wondering if someone could answer a very sincere question. Are you Independent Scientologists using or going to use LRH’s Fair Game Policy? I don’t get how that would ever be ethical and/or spiritual. Could someone please explain. Thank you for your time.
    :) Curious

  82. Patrick Dougherty

Mark I’m an outsider, but have been following your blog with great interest. I have one burning question to ask you and I bet others will be interested as well. What is the end game for David Miscavige? I mean do you see him leaving the country to a country like Brazil where no extradition treaty exists with the U.S. Living off of monies he secreted away to banks in the Caribbean or swiss bank accounts? Or do you see him going out Tony Montana style in Scarface? That’s one thing I have been wondering about and a big reason why I stay tuned. I pass no judgement on you or other members of your Church because I truly believe that you all have nobel purposes to help other human beings and end suffering. I don’t even know if I’m asking you this question or replying to an article on your blog, either way I hope you get and try to answer this question to the best of your ability. Of course I have no true idea of what you deal with on a daily basis, i mean maybe if you do answer you’ll be hauled into court. So if you can I would be interested in your thoughts and if you can’t answer due to legality’s I understand. I do want you to know that despite all of the negative press Scientology receives I think you have done more to promote the religion than anybody since L.Ron Hubbard. I wish you and yours nothing but continued success. If you do get this could you just drop a line and let me know? That way I won’t bother you again trying to contact you. You have to admit it’s a great question huh?
    Take Care,
    Pat Dougherty

  83. Marty, is there a way to contact you directly? A phone call would be the easiest way I think to connect. I am not comfortable sharing my name publicly yet. I have 100 employees and some are current with CO$.

    ML,

    BL

  84. I have a Quantum E-Meter which I need to sell quickly. It is as-new condition and has never been used. The Church would normally sell this meter for $4,650.00. This particular model is the top-end, best quality of e-meters available. Do you wish to buy it, or does anyone else wish to buy it?

  85. The church grossly oversold the basics in 2008. I still volunteer for a betterment organization under the ABLE stucture. In 2008 I was contacted by the E.D. of the Int. organization asking me for help because he knew I had a truck. Their problem was dozens of sets of basics were clogging up their offices. The church was having a real problem donating the sets. After selling so many sets for “donations” the church had trouble finding takers. The 29,000 libraries in the country were full. Now they had to donate to those who volunteered for an ABLE organization. The basics clogged up the spaces of ABLE, then the Int organizations, then my garage. At one point I had 10 full sets, 30 boxes, in my garage, AFTER taking a set for myself and giving sets to my friends. Forget selling them, it was hard enough to give them away. I sent emails, used the Razz Line, called people even delivered just to clear my garage. Eventually the selling stopped, the offices cleared out and my garage was emptied of Basics. But here’s a funny story, one Saturday morning, when my garage was full, two guys came from the local org to sell me the Basics. I said, “sure you want some coffee? Let’s go talk in the garage.” We walked into my garage and their jaws dropped. Guess what, they didn’t sell me the Basics. Gotta love it.

  86. Mark…already left a comment on another page which I realise now will be better informed by reading your books (intend to pronto). As I had said, I have had a longstanding but intermittent fascination with LRH and no involvement with Scientology. It is nevertheless very clear to me that:
    1. The tech (at least) to OT levels is valuable (and I don’t mean CA$H ;-) and
    2. Your efforts (and those of others) now are history in the making.

I have never had any doubt that Hubbard built a ship that can span centuries. Now I am doubly certain. All power to you!

  87. Randy Gaumond

Dear Marty, (I hope that my F.O. 38 isn’t out too far by presuming I may use your first name!) thanks for ALL that you have done and will do in the future!
We never met while I was in the S.O. but I heard your name many times. I was recruited to be an Auditor in October of 1980, but wound up being put on an Admin post as soon as I came off the FRU/EPF. I had completed all 8 courses in 9 weeks and was put on the post of Hatting Officer FSO, which post I held for about 6 months. In that time, the FSO was on a thirteen week affluence trend and Int did an eval to find out why. No one could figure out what the change was that brought it about because it had happened AFTER the major reorganization of the FSO that put Carl Carlson on post as C.O. Someone finally dug a bit deeper and looked at who was on what post just before the trend began, and the only thing that stuck out was that a Hatting Officer had been put on post. After I had been named as the Who in that eval, I became a target and was attracting lots of fire from various people. Stella Lufkin was one of them. After I got a staff member fully hatted, I did short form product clearing on them with a demo kit and sent them for an exam. Org stats were rising all the time despite all of the musical chairing going on in the FSO. In three months time, I had lost nearly HALF of my Fully Hatted Staff Member stat!! Someone wanted to keep those FSO stats low! Then I was moved over to Dir Comm and held that post for 18 months, about 3 times longer than anyone before me had held it and I had highest ever stats for my three stats two weeks in a row and HE for two of them the third week, but was getting so burned out from no help (I singled handed Dept 2 for the first six months) I couldn’t take it anymore and just quit.
So after I left, I rebuilt my life and have kept studying the Tech. I read all of the R&Ds cover to cover, all of the TVs, have read all the basic books at least twice, some 3 and 4 times. Did various courses besides attaining Staff Status II like NED, M1, Solo Pt 1.
My study of Scn and Dn has led me to cognite on a new kind of RD. I call it the Havingness RD. It starts out with getting someone to really understand what havingness is by demos, definition study and listening to what LRH had to say about it. Then there are processes of various kinds to get the Being to blow charge on the concepts that keep one from having. Even not being able to have a session!! If you’ve made it this far in my ramblings and scribbling, you may want to know more about the HavRD. I would very much like to work with someone to fine tune it and get it applied out int he real world.

My best postulates to you and your wife,
    Randy Gaumond, Sui Juris

  88. I don’t get one thing, you seem to try to draw a line between Scientology as a spiritual practice / self-help application and the management of Scientology itself and thus practice independent Scientology.

At which point do people not get that Scientology is just rehashed Hinduism with Yogic & Dharmic Traditions mixed with Science Fiction, established psychiatric medicine and a basic polygraph?

Not difficult to conclude that yes a basic polygraph does read negative emotions, and that these can be made to surface in auditing thus giving the e-meter some purpose of awareness of their existence. These are usually brought from the subconscious or memory and the term for these are actually “stimulus impressions” or “Engrams” which was copied from early 20th century psychiatric medicine by Hubbard.

These same things have been known for centuries in Hindu and Buddhist traditions as Samskaras and Karmic impressions of the mind on our subconscious etc. see where I’m going with this?

To draw a line between the practice of Scientology and the management of the cult itself is nonsense because the very practice of Scientology was simply conjured up by Hubbard as a money making scheme and to his credit it a fairly ingenious one, it has conned thousands of people.

He simply stole several major spiritual themes in ancient and established religions mixed it with some modern pseudo-science to illustrate its existence and then packaged it as a religion to lure vulnerable people in for their money. Most of these unfortunates have/had never been aware of such aspects of their mind and subconscious and so are/were completely sold by the e-meter.

Scientology cannot be dissected, it cannot be separated, it is truly a vile and evil creation which manipulates people for their money based on lies established by a man who was a fraud & a fantasist all his life, without the money making aspect the cult the teachings are meaningless.

I can tell you no one including Hubbard was/is OT and can control MEST, which again is Hubbard’s defrauded version of mans divinity stolen from other religions. This is something that can only be achieved from stillness and relinquishing ones ego (Jesus, Buddha, various Yogis in the Hindu traditions etc.), something Scientology will never be able to do because it is a con.

I hope you are not going to try to continue the Scientology scam because that’s what it really is, no one needs to be auditing anybody else, the only person who can audit oneself is oneself! Only you can find the Truth, no one can show you or reveal it to you for a sum of money.

Finally in any case I wish you all the best and strength in your struggle with these snakes that unfortunately you have helped raise over the years and who have now been set upon their own hand.

  89. Hey Guys, I would like to audit myself into wellbeing. :) I need an auditor. I went to CofS did some 9 hours was really awesome, but i just didnt trust them with all the shit they do. Then spoke with case officer or smth and she called me stupid etc so i left. But i really would like to go on with the therapy/auditing, anyone’s doing it privately?

  90. Hi Mr. Rathbun, my name is Lee Bride. I’ve sent many messages to inquire about any auditing sessions that you may provide. I’m not intereted in joining the church of scientology, because the fact is… it seems to be all about the money, just like i’ve seen with all the religions.. I would like to try out scientology and i am looking for an independent certified auditor.. You being so high in the church of scientology makes me think that you might have an incredible amount of knowledge and practices of scientology… I’m an average lower blue collar family man. Please email me about any services you offer. I know my punctuation is terrible, please forgive me. I actually live outside of austin, in del valle.
